Abstract

We propose OMGTex, an end-to-end diffusion-based framework for reconstructing high-quality and editable facial UV textures from multi-style facial images. Existing texture reconstruction methods face two major limitations: (1) Fragility due to reliance on 3D geometry priors, which are difficult to estimate accurately, especially under facial occlusions or in stylized domains; and (2) A lack of semantic disentanglement, inhibiting region-specific texture editing and style transfer. Our work addresses both challenges simultaneously. Our core innovation is a geometry-free pipeline that directly maps a 2D face image to its corresponding editable UV texture. We introduce two key techniques: First, to address the challenge of UV misalignment common in diffusion generation, we introduce a gradient-guided refinement strategy at inference time, which explicitly corrects structural consistency. Second, we leverage the inherent semantic distribution capability of diffusion models and design a novel training paradigm to enhance this tendency, enabling semantic-aware editing of facial texture. Furthermore, to address the data scarcity in multi-style texture reconstruction, we construct CANVAS, the first comprehensive paired texture reconstruction dataset covering realistic and diverse stylized domains. To the best of our knowledge, OMGTex is the first geometry-free inference framework that achieves robust, style-consistent, and editable facial texture reconstruction across diverse domains. Our method achieves state-of-the-art performance on multiple facial texture benchmarks.

RAGMesh with FaME-G2E: Long-Form Text-Driven 3D Face Generation and Editing

Text-driven 3D face generation and editing remains challenging due to the difficulty of translating long-form descriptions into fine-grained facial geometry. Existing methods primarily align global textual semantics with facial structures but often struggle to capture subtle local deformations, such as eyebrow tension, cheek contraction, and asymmetric mouth motions, resulting in limited geometric fidelity and editing precision. To facilitate fine-grained text-driven facial modeling, we first construct FaME-G2E, a large-scale multimodal dataset containing detailed text--mesh annotations and paired text--blendshape samples for unified 3D facial generation and editing. Based on this dataset, we propose RAGMesh, a retrieval-augmented framework that leverages text-correlated geometric priors to improve high-fidelity facial synthesis and editing. Specifically, the Multi-Scale Retrieval Fusion (MSRF) module retrieves semantically consistent global and regional facial priors and fuses them in the blendshape space, suppressing conflicting local deformations while preserving coherent deformation patterns. Furthermore, we introduce Adaptive RAG-guided Supervision (AdaRAGS), a region-aware constraint that explicitly aligns textual semantics with corresponding facial regions, enhancing regional controllability and editing accuracy. Extensive experiments on FaME-G2E demonstrate that RAGMesh achieves superior performance over state-of-the-art methods in local geometric accuracy, text-guided controllability, regional editing precision, and inference efficiency. UVFaceFusion: Fast Multi-view Topologically Consistent Face Reconstruction in the Wild via UV-space Neural Fusion

Reconstructing high-fidelity facial geometry with an assigned topology is essential for digital avatar creation and animation, yet existing automated methods often trade off geometric fidelity and in-the-wild generalization. We present UVFaceFusion, a feed-forward framework for multi-view, fixed-topology face reconstruction from daily images. Our key idea is to replace heuristic topological optimization with learnable neural fusion in a canonical UV space. Given multi-view images, we first obtain dense point maps and facial UV correspondences of each view using VGGT and Pixel3DMM, respectively. Then, the view-specific point maps are lifted into the canonical UV domain and fused with a novel mask-aware neural fusion network. The network predicts a complete UV-space point map, from which a fixed-topology mesh is directly sampled. Although trained only on Ava-256, UVFaceFusion generalizes well to multiple public benchmarks and in-the-wild captures, benefiting from its canonical UV-space geometry-to-geometry fusion that reduces dependence on dataset-specific appearance and capture conditions. Experiments on various benchmarks show that UVFaceFusion achieves state-of-the-art reconstruction accuracy while reconstructing a mesh from 16 input views in less than 3 seconds on a single RTX 4090. DANTE-W: Diffuse Albedo Neural Texturing in the Wild

Classical mesh texturing techniques blend captured multi-view images directly, which inevitably suffer from baked-in shading and casted shadows that compromise visual fidelity during relighting. To circumvent this issue, we present a neural texturing framework, namely DANTE-W, to enable high-fidelity diffuse albedo texture recovery from unstructured image collections for large-scale, in-the-wild scenes, which integrates seamlessly with traditional 3D reconstruction pipelines. Given a reconstructed mesh and its surface parameterization, our method fuses view-space generative albedo priors into a coherent texture space via an expressive neural representation, while substantially enhancing fine-grained textural details through physically principled neural rendering. To comprehensively evaluate our method, we curate a benchmark dataset featuring diverse, fine-grained textures, comprising both real-world in-the-wild scenes and synthetic objects. Extensive experiments verify the effectiveness of our approach in reconstructing accurate albedo textures and boosting relighting fidelity. Project page: dante-wild.github.io.
