Abstract

Massive unstructured multimodal streams suffer from high "data entropy," impeding both efficient human knowledge acquisition and high-quality AI post-training. Existing passive annotation paradigms, heavily reliant on heuristic rules or general VLMs, are costly, monotonous, and fail to unlock the deep procedural logic embedded in raw data. We elevate data processing to a learnable capability, proposing a paradigm shift towards Agentic Data Tailoring, which actively refining and structuring data to align with diverse user and downstream intents. To overcome the data scarcity bottleneck in training such high-order capabilities, we design a two-stage pipeline grounding generative semantic synthesis in deterministic Factual Anchors, yielding a large-scale dataset spanning five core physical and digital domains. Building upon this, DataClaw0\text{DataClaw}_0-9B model synergizes Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) with Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO), achieving robust alignment with complex refinement and tailoring intents. To systematically quantify this capability, we construct DataClaw0\text{DataClaw}_0-val, the first benchmark dedicated to data refinement. Crucially, we adopt downstream post-training as the ultimate validation touchstone. Evaluations on video generation, real-world VQA, and GUI navigation confirm that DataClaw0\text{DataClaw}_0 delivers high-information-density tailored data, facilitating efficient model adaptation to new tasks under limited training data regimes. OpenThoughts-Agent: Data Recipes for Agentic Models

Agentic language models dramatically expand the applications of AI yet little is publicly known about how to curate training data for broadly capable agents. Existing open efforts such as SWE-Smith, SERA, and Nemotron-Terminal typically target a single benchmark, leaving open the question of how to train models that generalize across diverse agentic tasks. The OpenThoughts-Agent (OT-Agent) project addresses this gap with a fully open data curation pipeline for training agentic models. We conduct more than 100 controlled ablation experiments to systematically investigate each stage of the pipeline, yielding insights on the importance of task sources and diversity. We then assemble a training set of 100K examples from our pipeline and fine-tune Qwen3-32B on this dataset, which yields an average accuracy of 44.8% across seven agentic benchmarks and a 3.9 percentage point improvement over the strongest existing open data agentic model (Nemotron-Terminal-32B, 40.9%). Moreover, our training data exhibits strong scaling properties, outperforming alternative open datasets at every training set size in compute-controlled comparisons. We publicly release our training sets, data pipeline, experimental data, and models at openthoughts.ai to support future open research on agentic model training.

ANDES: Agent Native Data Evolving Synthesis Tool for Autonomous Instruction Alignment

AI agents are increasingly being tasked with automating AI research itself, particularly the critical post-training phase that transforms base LLMs into aligned assistants. However, recent evaluations reveal that even frontier agents struggle to perform this task. While the success of post-training fundamentally relies on acquiring high-quality data, relying on agents to autonomously curate targeted training datasets from the open web introduces severe challenges. Executing the long-horizon tasks of searching, filtering, and balancing data within noisy web environments frequently overwhelms an agent's limited context, ultimately leading to degraded dataset quality and suboptimal downstream training performance. To bridge this gap, we introduce Andes (Agent Native Data Evolving Synthesis), a framework that reimagines data generation as a plug-and-play \emph{agent skill}. Rather than forcing agents to devise complex data-gathering strategies from scratch, \textsc{Andes} provides an intelligent abstraction layer. By leveraging a self-evolving World Tree routing mechanism and actionable diagnostic reports, it allows trainer agents to dynamically steer data synthesis through an interactive, closed-loop interface. We demonstrate that under strict compute constraints, equipping foundationally weaker agents with Andes improves automated alignment, securing state-of-the-art performance on PostTrainBench and robust cross-task generalization. CurateEvo: Data-Curation Evolving for Agentic Post-Training

Large language model (LLM) agents require post-training methods that can improve long-horizon decision making from environment feedback. However, existing agentic post-training pipelines often treat data curation as a fixed preprocessing step, focusing mainly on data augmentation while neglecting filtering, refinement, and adaptation to downstream failures. We propose CurateEvo, a failure-driven dynamic evolution framework for agentic post-training data curation. CurateEvo represents the curation strategy as executable code and iteratively rewrites it using failed trajectories from a held-out development set. At each epoch, the evolved strategy transforms a fixed raw corpus into supervised fine-tuning data, reinforcement learning data, and an inference-time memory bank. The evolution process first improves effectiveness by diagnosing recurring failure modes and augmenting, filtering, or refining data accordingly, and then improves efficiency by pruning redundant or low-utility training turns under a cost-aware objective. Experiments on ACEBench-Agent, BFCL-V4, and τ^2-Bench under both labeled and wild-data settings show that CurateEvo consistently outperforms prior curation methods, improving average scores by 3.2 and 2.7 points, respectively. Further analyses demonstrate that CurateEvo is compatible with different post-training recipes and substantially reduces curation overhead.
