Abstract

Recent advances in video diffusion have been driven by scaling transformer-based architectures to billions of parameters, substantially improving visual fidelity and motion coherence. In contrast, existing mobile video diffusion models remain limited to relatively small parameter budgets, typically 0.4-1.8B, restricting generation quality. In this work, we show that high-quality mobile video generation does not require small models. Instead, we demonstrate that a server-scale 5B-parameter video diffusion transformer can be deployed efficiently on memory-constrained mobile hardware through recurrent reformulation and structured compression. Starting from Wan2.2-5B, we rely on a recurrence distillation framework that converts video generation into a chunk-wise autoregressive process with constant-memory attention computation. Combined with causal linear attention, the model operates as an RNN at inference time while preserving temporal coherence across chunks. We further propose a learnable attention head pruning method based on binary per-head gates optimized end-to-end using a noise-biased sparsity objective and distillation-based finetuning. Together with sampling-step distillation and memory-optimized VAE decoding, MobileWan becomes the first 5B-scale video diffusion model deployable on a commercial mobile device. Our system generates 5-second 480x832 videos at 16 FPS in 20 seconds end-to-end latency, achieving a VBench score of 83.79 and establishing a new state of the art in mobile video generation. CineMobile: On-Device Image-to-Video Diffusion for Cinematic Camera Motion Generation

The growing demand for image-to-video creation on mobile devices has increasingly focused on cinematic motion effects like bullet time, dolly zoom, slow motion, etc. While Diffusion Transformers (DiTs) exhibit strong performance in video generation, their large parameter sizes and multi-step iterative denoising processes lead to substantial computational overhead, making efficient generation on mobile devices challenging. We propose CineMobile to bridge the gap. In particular, CineMobile adopts a three-fold optimization strategy: (1) leveraging a distillation-guided pruning approach to derive a compact yet efficient model that retains the essential video generation capabilities required for cinematic effects; (2) optimizing the compressed model into a 4-step generator via a combination of diffusion distillation and reinforcement learning; (3) employing a hybrid post-training quantization strategy to compress the model footprint to under 1 GB. Experimental results show that compared to the teacher model with the Wan 2.1 architecture, CineMobile achieves a 40x speedup in generation while maintaining comparable visual quality. Specifically, CineMobile generates 49-frame 480p videos with a per-step denoising latency of 0.6s on an NVIDIA H200 GPU and 20s on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate 5G platform, with a peak memory usage of 1.8 GB, demonstrating its practical applicability for mobile-based image-to-video creation.

Veda: Scalable Video Diffusion via Distilled Sparse Attention

Scaling Diffusion Transformers to generate high-resolution, long videos is constrained by the quadratic cost of self-attention, and existing sparse attention methods degrade under high sparsity. We show empirically that generation quality is determined not by the sparsity ratio itself, but by how well the sparse mask aligns with the tile-wise geometry of full attention. Based on this insight, we propose Veda, a distilled sparse attention framework that formulates tile selection as an explicit reconstruction problem from full attention. Veda integrates statistics-aware tile scoring with head-aware tiling to reduce estimation error and structural mismatch, enabling aggressive sparsity. A hardware-efficient tile-skipping kernel converts theoretical sparsity into practical wall-clock speedups. Experiments on large video diffusion models, including Waver and Wan2.1, demonstrate substantial acceleration with no noticeable degradation in generation quality. To generate 720P 10-second videos on Waver-T2V-12B, Veda achieves a 5.1×\times end-to-end speedup and a 10.5×\times self-attention speedup, reducing attention overhead from 92% to 50%. Notably, the gains increase with sequence length, indicating that Veda scales favorably with spatiotemporal resolution across models.

Mamoda2.5: Enhancing Unified Multimodal Model with DiT-MoE

We present Mamoda2.5, a unified AR-Diffusion framework that seamlessly integrates multimodal understanding and generation within a single architecture. To efficiently enhance the model's generation capability, we equip the Diffusion Transformer backbone with a fine-grained Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) design (128 experts, Top-8 routing), yielding a 25B-parameter model that activates only 3B parameters, significantly reducing training costs while scaling up the model capacity. Mamoda2.5 achieves top-tier generation performance on VBench 2.0 and sets a new record in video editing quality, surpassing evaluated open-source models and matching the performance of current top-tier proprietary models, including the Kling O1 on OpenVE-Bench. Furthermore, we introduce a joint few-step distillation and reinforcement learning framework that compresses the 30-step editing model into a 4-step model and greatly accelerates model inference. Compared to open-source baselines, Mamoda2.5 achieves up to 95.9×95.9\times faster video editing inference. In real-world applications, Mamoda2.5 has been successfully deployed for content moderation and creative restoration tasks in advertising scenarios, achieving a 98% success rate in internal advertising video editing scenario.
