Abstract

Professional design requires any-color control: the ability to specify an object's target color with any 24-bit hex value for image generation and editing. Prior work has explored color generation, editing, and colorization, but often relies on dedicated color representations or specialized inference procedures. Advances in large language models offer a simpler starting point: even compact models can associate hex values with color semantics. We present Paint-Anything, which learns a shared hex-prompt interface for generation and editing through object-level color supervision. We develop a data pipeline that constructs Paint-500K from real images through object grounding, perceptual color labeling, and editing-pair synthesis. Since shadows make real-image labels only approximate colors, we complement this supervision with pure-color anchors whose pixels exactly match their paired hex values. These anchors are used only at high-noise timesteps, leaving low-noise training to natural images. We further introduce Any Color Benchmark (ACBench), comprising ACBench-T2I and ACBench-Edit, to measure object-level hex color fidelity across both tasks. On FLUX.2-4B, Paint-Anything improves ACBench-T2I and ACBench-Edit scores by 85.3% and 28.3%, respectively, relative to the base model, with ablations supporting the training recipe. It also achieves the highest average CompColor score among the compared methods.

Colorful-Noise: Training-Free Low-Frequency Noise Manipulation for Color-Based Conditional Image Generation

Text-to-image diffusion models generate images by gradually converting white Gaussian noise into a natural image. White Gaussian noise is well suited for producing diverse outputs from a single text prompt due to its absence of structure. However, this very property limits control over, and predictability of, specific visual attributes, as the noise is not human-interpretable. In this work, we investigate the characteristics of the input noise in diffusion models. We show that, although all frequencies in white Gaussian noise have comparable statistical energy, low-frequency components primarily determine the images global structure and color composition, while high-frequency components control finer details. Building on this observation, we demonstrate that simple manipulations of the low-frequency noise using low-frequency image priors can effectively condition the generation process to reconstruct these low-frequency visual cues. This allows us to define a simple, training-free method with minimal overhead that steers overall image structure and color, while letting high-frequency components freely emerge as fine details, enabling variability across generated outputs.

UniWorld-Design: From Pixel Generation to Layer-Native Design

We introduce UniWorld-Design, a framework that redefines image generation from flat pixel synthesis to structured visual composition, with semantic RGBA layers as the atomic units of generation, understanding, and editing. Our key insight is that pixels define how an image is rendered, whereas layers define how an image is created, understood, and edited. Just as human designers create and manipulate visual content through layers rather than raw pixels, UniWorld-Design equips multimodal generative models with a layer-native design space. UniWorld-Design comprises two models. The Text-to-RGBA (T2RGBA) model generates standalone RGBA assets directly from text. The Image-to-Layer (I2L) model conditions on a finished image, a global instruction and per-layer prompts, and jointly produces ordered, complete semantic RGBA layers. Its instruction interface supports top-level decomposition, recursive decomposition and targeted extraction, making layering an instruction-addressable operation for agentic editing. Because I2L learns complete semantic objects rather than visible-pixel partitions, its layers stay usable when moved or removed. On the Crello benchmark, I2L reduces per-layer RGB L1 error by 37% and achieves a 34% relative improvement in Alpha Soft IoU over Qwen-Image-Layered. Separately, T2RGBA achieves the highest CLIP Score, outperforming LayerDiffuse and OmniAlpha.

LLaDA-Image: Building Strong Image Generators with Fully Open Training Recipes

We introduce LLaDA-Image, a unified framework that pairs a 6B Diffusion Transformer (DiT) trained from scratch with a frozen vision-language understanding module built on the LLaDA2.0-Mini diffusion language model backbone. Instead of relying heavily on paired image-text data from the beginning, we first build a strong visual generative prior through image-only pre-training and mid-training. The generation pipeline comprises 220M samples, 98 of which are real images. For efficient and scalable optimization, we use parameter-free RMSNorm throughout the DiT together with the Muon optimizer. The resulting unified model produces highly photorealistic images while accurately following fine-grained editing instructions. We further distill LLaDA-Image into LLaDA-Image-Turbo, enabling fast inference in 2-4 sampling steps. On Qwen-Image-Bench, LLaDA-Image achieves overall scores of 53.53 and 53.38 on the English and Chinese tracks, respectively, setting a new state-of-the-art among open-source models on both tracks. To support further research on capable and efficient generative models, we release our model weights, training code, and detailed recipes.
