Biometric Template
Biometric template protection aims to securely store and utilize biometric data while safeguarding user privacy. Current research focuses on developing robust and computationally efficient methods, including techniques based on homomorphic encryption, generative adversarial networks (GANs) for obfuscation, and novel hashing algorithms designed for various biometric data formats (e.g., ordered and unordered feature sets). These advancements address critical security vulnerabilities like template recovery attacks and unlinkability concerns, ultimately improving the trustworthiness and widespread adoption of biometric systems in various applications.
