Color Event
Color-event tracking integrates data from color cameras and event cameras (DVS) to achieve robust and efficient object tracking, particularly in high-speed or challenging conditions. Current research focuses on developing unified network architectures, often employing transformers or state-space models, to effectively fuse the complementary information from these disparate sensor modalities, minimizing computational cost while maximizing accuracy. This field is significant because it promises improved performance in applications requiring real-time tracking, such as autonomous driving and robotics, by leveraging the high temporal resolution of event cameras and the rich contextual information of color images. The development of standardized datasets and evaluation metrics is also a key area of ongoing work.
