Grassroots Dissemination Protocol
Grassroots dissemination protocols aim to create decentralized, peer-to-peer systems for social networking, digital currencies, and other applications, independent of centralized platforms. Current research focuses on developing robust and secure architectures, often employing novel data structures like the "blocklace" to manage information flow and consensus in unreliable networks. This work is significant for its potential to empower local communities by enabling self-governed digital economies and social spaces, while also advancing the theoretical understanding of distributed systems and resilient communication protocols.
