Greek Corpus
Research on Greek corpora encompasses the creation and analysis of digital text collections for both ancient and modern Greek, aiming to advance linguistic understanding and computational tools. Current efforts focus on developing large language models (LLMs) like Meltemi, building richly annotated corpora such as Opera Graeca Adnotata for detailed linguistic analysis, and applying machine learning techniques, including BERT and BART architectures, to tasks such as error correction, gap-filling in ancient texts, and diachronic sense change modeling. This work facilitates advancements in natural language processing for Greek, provides valuable resources for philologists, and enables new approaches to studying language evolution and literary analysis.
