HCI Education

HCI education is evolving to integrate rapidly advancing technologies, particularly generative AI, into teaching and learning methodologies. Current research focuses on leveraging AI's capabilities for creative design processes, using it as both a tool for generating design ideas and resources and as a reflective mechanism to identify student knowledge gaps. This work emphasizes the importance of developing student literacy in AI tools and understanding their limitations, aiming to empower students as creators and critical thinkers. The ultimate goal is to better prepare future HCI professionals to effectively utilize and critically evaluate AI within their field.
