Intraductal Papillary Mucosal Neoplasm
Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasms (IPMNs) are precancerous pancreatic lesions requiring accurate risk stratification for effective treatment. Current research focuses on developing improved diagnostic tools using artificial intelligence, particularly deep learning models such as convolutional neural networks and transformer networks, often incorporating radiomics features from MRI scans to enhance classification accuracy. These AI-driven approaches aim to reduce the variability and improve the reliability of IPMN diagnosis compared to current guidelines, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes and more informed clinical decision-making.
