Iranian License Plate

Research on Iranian license plate recognition focuses on developing robust automated systems capable of accurately identifying license plates in diverse and challenging conditions, such as varying lighting and weather. Current efforts leverage deep learning architectures, primarily convolutional neural networks (CNNs) like YOLO and Faster R-CNN, often employing two-stage approaches for plate detection and character recognition. This work is driven by the need for improved accuracy and speed in applications such as traffic management and security, and the creation of large, high-quality datasets is a significant contributing factor to recent advancements.
