Majorana Wire

Majorana wires are hybrid superconducting-semiconductor nanostructures designed to host Majorana zero modes, exotic quasiparticles promising for fault-tolerant quantum computing. Current research heavily utilizes machine learning, particularly boosted decision trees and evolutionary algorithms like CMA-ES, to optimize gate configurations and mitigate the detrimental effects of disorder in these wires, improving the reliability of Majorana zero mode detection. This work is crucial for advancing the development of topological quantum computers, as efficient control and stabilization of Majorana modes are essential for building scalable quantum devices.
