Monkeypox Disease
Monkeypox, a zoonotic viral disease, presents a significant public health challenge due to its similarity to other skin infections and the need for rapid, accurate diagnosis. Current research heavily focuses on developing automated diagnostic tools using deep learning, employing convolutional neural networks (CNNs), hybrid CNN-recurrent neural network (RNN) architectures, and vision transformers, often enhanced with attention mechanisms to improve accuracy and efficiency. These models aim to analyze images of skin lesions to differentiate monkeypox from similar diseases, offering a potential solution for faster and more accessible diagnosis, particularly in resource-limited settings.
