Panorama Depth Estimation

Panorama depth estimation aims to reconstruct three-dimensional scenes from single panoramic images, overcoming the significant distortion inherent in common projection methods like equirectangular projection. Recent research focuses on deep learning models operating directly on spherical representations or employing innovative convolutional architectures (e.g., adaptively combined dilated convolutions and global cross-attention mechanisms) to effectively handle this distortion and leverage global context for improved accuracy.
