UW Octa

Ultra-wide optical coherence tomography angiography (UW-OCTA) is an advanced retinal imaging technique providing exceptionally wide-field views for diagnosing various retinal diseases. Current research focuses on developing robust deep learning models, often employing techniques like attention-based architectures and multimodal fusion, to improve the accuracy of automated analysis tasks such as lesion segmentation and disease grading from UW-OCTA images. Addressing the limitations of small and noisy datasets is a key challenge, with researchers exploring solutions like synthetic data generation, data augmentation, and transfer learning from foundation models. These advancements hold significant promise for improving the efficiency and accuracy of diabetic retinopathy and other retinal disease diagnosis.
