Current efforts concentrate on using AI, particularly deep learning models like autoencoders and large language models, to simulate student behavior, automatically assess engagement (identifying disengagement as an anomaly), and even virtually recreate histological staining for educational purposes. These advancements aim to personalize learning experiences, optimize curriculum design, and provide instructors with valuable insights into student performance, ultimately enhancing learning outcomes and addressing challenges in online education.
