ChatModel: Automating Reference Model Design and Verification with LLMs

As the complexity of integrated circuit designs continues to escalate, functional verification becomes increasingly challenging. Reference models, critical for accelerating the verification process, are themselves becoming more intricate and time-consuming to develop. Despite the promise shown by large language models (LLMs) in code programming, effectively generating complex reference models remains a significant hurdle. Therefore, we introduce ChatModel, an LLM-aided agile reference model generation and verification platform. ChatModel streamlines the transition from design specifications to fully functional reference models by integrating design standardization and hierarchical agile modeling. Employing a building-block generation strategy, it not only enhances the design capabilities of LLMs for reference models but also significantly boosts verification efficiency. We evaluated ChatModel on 300 designs of varying complexity, demonstrating substantial improvements in both efficiency and quality of reference model generation. ChatModel achieved a peak performance improvement of 58.99% compared to alternative methods, with notable enhancements in generation stability, and delivered a 9.18x increase in its capacity to produce reference model designs. Moreover, ChatModel accelerates the reference model design and validation cycles by an average of 7.11x over traditional manual approaches. These results highlight the potential of ChatModel to significantly advance the automation of reference model generation and validation.

AnyDesign: Versatile Area Fashion Editing via Mask-Free Diffusion

Fashion image editing aims to modify a person's appearance based on a given instruction. Existing methods require auxiliary tools like segmenters and keypoint extractors, lacking a flexible and unified framework. Moreover, these methods are limited in the variety of clothing types they can handle, as most datasets focus on people in clean backgrounds and only include generic garments such as tops, pants, and dresses. These limitations restrict their applicability in real-world scenarios. In this paper, we first extend an existing dataset for human generation to include a wider range of apparel and more complex backgrounds. This extended dataset features people wearing diverse items such as tops, pants, dresses, skirts, headwear, scarves, shoes, socks, and bags. Additionally, we propose AnyDesign, a diffusion-based method that enables mask-free editing on versatile areas. Users can simply input a human image along with a corresponding prompt in either text or image format. Our approach incorporates Fashion DiT, equipped with a Fashion-Guidance Attention (FGA) module designed to fuse explicit apparel types and CLIP-encoded apparel features. Both Qualitative and quantitative experiments demonstrate that our method delivers high-quality fashion editing and outperforms contemporary text-guided fashion editing methods.

A Lightweight Multi-Agent Framework for Automated Concrete Barrier Design

The design of reinforced concrete (RC) highway barriers is a safety-critical engineering task that requires strict compliance with regulatory provisions such as the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications. Current engineering practice relies largely on manual, iterative, and experience-driven procedures to satisfy complex material, geometric, and mechanical constraints. Although standalone large language models (LLMs) show strong capabilities in knowledge representation and text generation, their direct use in structural engineering design is limited by hallucination, numerical reasoning errors, and insufficient integration with physics-based analysis. To address these limitations, this study proposes a "generation-validation-modification" closed-loop framework for automated RC barrier design based on the multi-agent orchestration capability of AutoGen. The framework integrates specialized agents for parameter generation, mechanics-based calculation, target-interval evaluation, deviation diagnosis, and rule-based design modification. The multi-agent framework (MAF) was evaluated on three barrier testing levels (TL-3, TL-4, and TL-5) using sixty RC barrier designs with different geometric configurations. Three DeepSeek models with different parameter scales, DS-8B, DS-32B, and DS-671B, were investigated. All designs were evaluated according to Section 13 of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, 10th Edition (2024). Results show that MAF-DS-8B achieves a target-interval compliance rate of 98.3%, while the best-performing standalone LLM, DS-32B, achieves 11.7%. These results demonstrate that multi-agent architectures can improve the reliability, interpretability, and accessibility of AI-assisted engineering design for practical applications.
