Abstract

Learning model-free object pose estimation for unseen instances remains a fundamental challenge in 3D vision. Existing methods typically fall into two disjoint paradigms: category-level approaches predict absolute poses in a canonical space but rely on predefined taxonomies, while relative pose methods estimate cross-view transformations but cannot recover single-view absolute pose. In this work, we propose Object Pose Transformer (\ours{}), a unified feed-forward framework that bridges these paradigms through task factorization within a single model. \ours{} jointly predicts depth, point maps, camera parameters, and normalized object coordinates (NOCS) from RGB inputs, enabling both category-level absolute SA(3) pose and unseen-object relative SE(3) pose. Our approach leverages contrastive object-centric latent embeddings for canonicalization without requiring semantic labels at inference time, and uses point maps as a camera-space representation to enable multi-view relative geometric reasoning. Through cross-frame feature interaction and shared object embeddings, our model leverages relative geometric consistency across views to improve absolute pose estimation, reducing ambiguity in single-view predictions. Furthermore, \ours{} is camera-agnostic, learning camera intrinsics on-the-fly and supporting optional depth input for metric-scale recovery, while remaining fully functional in RGB-only settings. Extensive experiments on diverse benchmarks (NOCS, HouseCat6D, Omni6DPose, Toyota-Light) demonstrate state-of-the-art performance in both absolute and relative pose estimation tasks within a single unified architecture.

UniPose9D: Universal Category-Agnostic Object Pose Estimation

Object pose estimation is a fundamental problem in 3D vision. Although recent state-of-the-art approaches achieve strong performance, generalization to novel categories and unseen scenes remains challenging. We propose UniPose9D, a unified model for category-agnostic 9D object pose estimation: given an instance mask/ROI and either an RGB-D observation or an RGB image with predicted depth, the model estimates rotation, translation, and metric size without category labels, CAD models, mean-shape priors, or reference views. Specifically, UniPose9D samples point pairs from the observed object geometry and uses DINOv2 and PointNet features to predict NOCS coordinates for each pair. To improve accuracy, we introduce a point-pair-based RANSAC N-hop Kabsch-Umeyama algorithm with an adaptive threshold. We further employ flow matching to address symmetric ambiguities and construct a large-scale training set by curating and aligning pose annotations from existing public datasets. Experiments across eight datasets show that a single unified model achieves competitive performance on standard benchmarks while generalizing to unseen objects, unseen categories, and in-the-wild scenarios. Learning Cross-View Semantic Priors for Single-Reference Unseen Object Pose Estimation

Single-reference unseen object 6D pose estimation reduces object onboarding by estimating poses of arbitrary novel objects from only one reference view. Recent correspondence-based pipelines have achieved robust performance with vision foundation model (VFM) features. However, they typically treat these features as intra-view descriptors, leaving dense visual-semantic cues, including appearance, structure, and context, insufficiently exchanged across views before geometric decoding. Consequently, the decoded point features may lack joint semantic and geometric discriminability, making correspondence estimation still difficult in challenging cases. Instead of processing features independently, we build the correspondence pipeline around an early cross-view semantic prior. Specifically, cross-view semantic interaction (CVSI) enables dense query and reference VFM tokens to exchange semantic context and form a cross-view prior. Nevertheless, direct CVSI may disturb the VFM token structure, while the resulting semantic prior still needs 3D representation consistency for rigid correspondence. To make this CVSI prior reliable for 3D correspondence learning, we introduce two complementary training-time constraints: the intra-view structure preservation (IVSP) loss preserves the original intra-view token affinity structure during interaction, while the reference-anchored geometric consistency (RAGC) loss enforces spatial representation consistency of decoded point features. The final pose is recovered from learned correspondences through weighted SVD. We further construct a challenging view-pair protocol from the BOP Challenge datasets YCB-V and TUD-L to evaluate robustness in difficult matching scenarios. Extensive experiments on six benchmarks under different view-pair settings show that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance while maintaining comparable inference speed.

PriorPose: Reference-Guided Joint Deformation and Alignment for Category-Level Object Pose Estimation

Category-level object pose estimation seeks to recover a similarity transform (R,t,s)(R,t,s) for unseen instances without instance-specific CAD models. Most competitive methods are correspondence-based: prior-free variants regress canonical (NOCS) coordinates directly from local observations and implicitly memorize the canonical frame in the weights, which ties the parameters to category-typical orientations and hurts generalization under distribution shift; prior-based variants introduce a category prior but typically follow a serial deform-then-align pipeline, where underconstrained canonical completion can corrupt correspondences and induce error cascades in pose. We propose PriorPose, a reference-guided correspondence framework that keeps the category prior explicit and solves canonicalization and alignment jointly in a shared feature space. A reference-guided seeded transformer embeds the partial observation and the category prior as token sets and fuses them via geometry-aware seeds, from which the network jointly predicts a per-point NOCS field for visible points and a canonical deformation of the prior that reconstructs a full canonical instance, while a deep pose head regresses (R,t,s)(R,t,s) from the induced correspondences. A two-part shape consistency objective, with canonical-space and camera-space consistency losses, couples correspondence, deformation, and pose, reducing reliance on memorized canonical orientations and avoiding deform-then-align error cascades. Experiments on standard and larger-category benchmarks demonstrate that PriorPose sets new state-of-the-art results on most evaluated metrics, especially under strict pose thresholds, while remaining competitive on relaxed pose and IoU metrics and showing improved robustness under shape variation and domain shift.
