Abstract

Recent advances in image generation models have expanded their applications beyond aesthetic imagery toward practical visual content creation. However, existing benchmarks mainly focus on natural image synthesis and fail to systematically evaluate models under the structured and multi-constraint requirements of real-world commercial design tasks. In this work, we introduce BizGenEval, a systematic benchmark for commercial visual content generation. The benchmark spans five representative document types: slides, charts, webpages, posters, and scientific figures, and evaluates four key capability dimensions: text rendering, layout control, attribute binding, and knowledge-based reasoning, forming 20 diverse evaluation tasks. BizGenEval contains 400 carefully curated prompts and 8000 human-verified checklist questions to rigorously assess whether generated images satisfy complex visual and semantic constraints. We conduct large-scale benchmarking on 26 popular image generation systems, including state-of-the-art commercial APIs and leading open-source models. The results reveal substantial capability gaps between current generative models and the requirements of professional visual content creation. We hope BizGenEval serves as a standardized benchmark for real-world commercial visual content generation.

ServImage: An Image Generation and Editing Benchmark from Real-world Commercial Imaging Services

Recent image generation and editing models demonstrate robust adherence to instructions and high visual quality on academic benchmarks. However, their performance on paid, real-world design projects remains uncertain. We introduce ServImage, a benchmark that explicitly correlates model outputs with economic value in commercial design projects. ServImage consists of (i) ServImageBench: a dataset of 1.07k paid commercial design tasks and 2.05k designer deliverables totaling over $295k, covering portrait, product, and digital content, along with 33k candidate images and 33k human annotations. (ii) ServImageScore: an integrated scoring system that combines three quality dimensions: baseline requirements fulfilment, visual execution quality, and commercial necessity satisfaction. These three dimensions are designed to characterize the factors that drive human payment decisions and indicate whether an image is commercially acceptable. (iii) ServImageModel: under this scoring system, we propose a payment prediction model trained on the human-annotated candidate images, achieving 82.00% accuracy in predicting human payment decisions and producing calibrated payment probabilities. ServImage provides a comprehensive foundation for assessing the commercial viability of image generation models and offers a scalable resource for future research on economically grounded vision systems Github.

GenPuzzle: Benchmarking Visual Reasoning in Image Generation Models

Recent image generation systems increasingly combine multimodal understanding, reasoning, and synthesis, suggesting that they may do more than render plausible scenes. Yet existing evaluations emphasize aesthetics, prompt alignment, compositionality, or text-based answers, leaving unclear whether these systems can solve visual problems and faithfully express solutions in pixels. We introduce GenPuzzle, a benchmark for reasoning-centric image generation. GenPuzzle contains 2,005 problems across 12 tracks, spanning pattern completion, spatial construction, mazes, Sudoku, nonograms, tangrams, board games, matchstick puzzles, orthographic projection, and mathematical visual proof. Each task provides a visual puzzle and requires an image output that preserves the input state while executing a logically valid solution. GenPuzzle uses task-specific evaluation protocols: discrete grid outputs are transcribed and verified programmatically, while visually complex outputs are assessed with tiered, multidimensional, or binary multimodal large language model (MLLM) rubrics. We further select the automatic judge by measuring agreement with human reference scores. Across three frontier generators, the strongest model reaches only 40.57 Macro Overall, revealing frequent failures in logic, geometry, state preservation, and instruction execution. GenPuzzle provides a testbed for measuring progress from image rendering toward visual problem solving.

Qwen-Image-Bench: From Generation to Creation in Text-to-Image Evaluation

Text-to-Image generation has evolved from basic image synthesis into a frequently used core capability in professional creative workflows, where simple text-image alignment can no longer satisfy users' pressing demands for faithful real-world reconstruction and genuine creative expression. Existing benchmarks, however, remain anchored in these foundational criteria and do not yet capture the nuanced capabilities that matter in authentic artistic practice, making it difficult to reliably distinguish state-of-the-art T2I models. To address the gap, we introduce Qwen-Image-Bench, a creator-centric benchmark co-designed with professional artists and grounded in real-world creation scenarios. Qwen-Image-Bench enriches conventional evaluation with two application-driven dimensions: Real-world Fidelity and Creative Generation. Drawing on the staged reasoning inherent in professional artistic workflows, we organize these five pillars into a top-down hierarchical taxonomy that further decomposes into 23 second-level sub-capabilities and 56 third-level verifiable rubrics. To ensure broad coverage, we curate 1000 stratified prompts with each prompt jointly exercising more than four fine-grained facets across multiple pillars. We train a unified judge model Q-Judger based on Qwen3.6-27B, supervised by 80 professional annotators from global art academies under blind labeling and triple-review protocols, that scores every image across all 56 verifiable facets, producing fine-grained, rubric-grounded, and fully attributable diagnostics rather than a single opaque score. Empirically, Qwen-Image-Bench reliably distinguishes leading T2I models, achieving the greatest separation on the two application-driven dimensions of Real-world Fidelity and Creative Generation where existing benchmarks provide little insight, while also providing a trustworthy optimization signal for production-level T2I development.
