Abstract
In the context of quantum secure scenarios, existing research on mobile edge devices and intelligent computing and edge (ICE) systems based on the Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) communication model have overlooked the energy consumption overhead of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) modules, and the high complexity of traditional resource allocation algorithms fails to meet the demands of real-time decision-making. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a lightweight agentic AI framework designed for online joint optimization within ICE-enabled mobile devices. The scheme constructs a multi-stage stochastic Mixed Integer Nonlinear Programming (MINLP) model that incorporates static power-consumption constraints for PQC modules. Based on Lyapunov optimization theory, the long-term optimization problem is decoupled, and a linear complexity algorithm is proposed to solve the nonconvex challenges of NOMA power allocation . Simulation results verify that the proposed scheme significantly improves computational throughput while ensuring system queue stability and energy consumption constraints. Compared with traditional Successive Convex Approximation (SCA) algorithms, the complexity is reduced to O(N), achieving a speedup of approximately 46 times when the number of devices N=35, thereby meeting the real-time decision-making requirements in dynamic wireless environments.
With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligent science, intelligent edge computing has been widely adopted. However, the limitations of traditional methods, such as poor adaptability and the slow convergence of heuristic algorithms, are becoming increasingly evident. To enable sustainable and resource-efficient edge applications, this paper proposes an online task offloading framework for wireless powered mobile edge computing (MEC) networks, called Quantum Attention-based Reinforcement learning for Online Offloading (QAROO). The system employs a binary offloading strategy with the aim of co-optimizing computing and energy resources in dynamic channel environments. In response to the issues of poor adaptability in traditional approaches and the slow convergence of heuristic algorithms, the framework integrates quantum neural networks and attention mechanisms, introducing three key improvements: using recurrent neural networks to enhance temporal modeling capability, proposing an uncertainty-guided quantization method to improve exploration efficiency, and incorporating attention mechanisms into quantum networks to strengthen feature representation. Experiments demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms comparative schemes in terms of normalized computation speed and processing time, offering an efficient and stable solution for online task offloading in large-scale Internet of Things (IoT) dynamic environments.
Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) devices operate under strict resource constraints while handling highly sensitive health data, making security and privacy critical concerns. Federated learning (FL) further complicates this landscape, as model updates exchanged during training may unintentionally expose private medical information. Emerging quantum computing capabilities threaten the long-term viability of conventional lightweight cryptographic mechanisms, motivating the integration of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) into IoMT systems. This article discusses key enabling technologies for quantum-resilient IoMT, including post-quantum key establishment, lightweight encryption, and edge-native orchestration. We propose a scalable Kubernetes-based framework that integrates PQC into FL-enabled IoMT environments and validate it on a Raspberry Pi testbed. Results demonstrate that distributed cryptographic processing significantly reduces latency compared to sequential designs while maintaining feasible resource overhead. The primary contribution of this work lies in the design and validation of a secure orchestration and communication framework for FL-enabled IoMT systems. We conclude by outlining future directions toward energy-aware architectures, intelligent security optimization, and resilient next-generation Intelligent Internet of Medical Things (IIoMT) ecosystems.

Quantized Neural Networks~(QNN) with low-bitwidth data have proven promising in efficient storage and computation on edge devices. To mitigate accuracy degradation while maximizing speedup, layer-wise mixed-precision quantization~(MPQ) becomes a popular solution. However, existing algorithms for exploring MPQ schemes are limited in flexibility and efficiency. Comprehending the complex impacts of different MPQ schemes on post-training quantization and quantization-aware training results is a challenge for conventional methods. Furthermore, an end-to-end framework for the optimization and deployment of MPQ models is missing in existing work. To address these challenges, we propose the MiCo framework, a holistic MPQ exploration and deployment framework for edge AI applications. The framework adopts a novel optimization algorithm to search for accuracy-optimal quantization configurations under strict latency constraints. We further extended the framework to MiCoPro, which introduces a robust Hardware-Aware Proxy (HAP) model to enhance prediction accuracy and hardware versatility. By leveraging target-specific latency modeling, MiCoPro enables rapid exploration and direct deployment from PyTorch models to bare-metal C code. We demonstrate the versatility of our framework on both the BitFusion accelerator and SIMD-extended RISC-V processors, achieving up to 40% of latency reduction with less than 3% of accuracy drop.
