Abstract

We introduce GaussianZoom, a generative zoom-in 3D reconstruction system with an iterative progressive framework that combines geometry-consistent scene modeling and multi-scale semantic reasoning to enable high-fidelity extreme zoom-in rendering from low-resolution inputs. To achieve this, we develop a novel multi-view consistent super-resolution module with depth-based feature warping and VLM-driven detail synthesis, ensuring accurate multi-view correspondence while enriching fine-scale appearance beyond the observed resolution. To support zooming across large magnification ranges, we further introduce a new expandable continuous Level-of-Detail hierarchy that dynamically modulates Gaussian visibility for smooth, alias-free cross-scale rendering. Experiments on Mip-NeRF360 and Tanks&Temples demonstrate that GaussianZoom achieves superior perceptual quality, multi-view consistency, and robustness under extreme magnification, establishing a strong baseline for generative zoom-in 3D scene reconstruction.

ConFi-GS Confidence-Guided High-Frequency Injection for 3D Gaussian Splatting Super-Resolution

Reconstructing high-quality 3D scenes from low-resolution multi-view images remains challenging for 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), because insufficient high-frequency observations often lead to blurred textures, weak boundaries, and view-inconsistent details. Existing approaches either apply super-resolution guidance uniformly or localize enhancement regions based mainly on geometric sampling. However, they typically do not distinguish between two fundamentally different questions: where additional detail is needed, and whether the corresponding candidate high-frequency content is reliable enough to be internalized into a multi-view consistent 3D representation. In this paper, we propose a reliability-aware frequency modeling framework for low-resolution 3DGS reconstruction. The framework first estimates a geometry-guided detail-demand prior to locate regions that are likely under-detailed under low-resolution supervision. It then computes a frequency-aware reliability map to determine whether candidate high-frequency details are structurally supported, spectrally unresolved, and cross-view stable. Combining these signals yields a detail-injection map that guides where super-resolved details should be introduced during optimization. Based on this map, we design a unified optimization scheme comprising spatially selective supervision, coarse-to-fine frequency regularization, and reliability-aware Gaussian densification. This scheme controls where reliable details are injected, when high-frequency supervision is activated, and how unresolved yet reliable details are internalized into the Gaussian representation. Experiments on multiple benchmarks show improved fidelity and perceptual quality while suppressing unstable or view-inconsistent details.

ZipSplat: Fewer Gaussians, Better Splats

Feed-forward 3D Gaussian Splatting methods reconstruct a scene from posed or pose-free images in a single forward pass, yet current approaches predict one Gaussian per input pixel, tying the representation budget to camera resolution rather than scene complexity. A flat wall and a richly textured object thus produce equally many Gaussians despite very different geometric needs. We propose ZipSplat, a token-based feed-forward model that decouples Gaussian placement from the pixel grid. A multi-view backbone extracts dense visual tokens, and k-means clustering compresses them into a compact set of scene tokens. Cross- and self-attention refine these tokens, and a lightweight MLP decodes each into a group of Gaussians with unconstrained 3D positions. Because clustering is applied at inference, a single trained model spans the quality-efficiency curve without retraining. ZipSplat operates without ground-truth poses or intrinsics, yet sets a new state of the art on DL3DV and RealEstate10K with 6×{\sim}6{\times} fewer Gaussians than pixel-aligned methods, surpassing the best pose-free baseline by 2.1dB and 1.2dB PSNR, respectively. It further generalizes zero-shot to Mip-NeRF360 and ScanNet++, outperforming all comparable baselines. Our project page is at https://veichta.com/zipsplat.

You Only Gaussian Once: Controllable 3D Gaussian Splatting for Ultra-Densely Sampled Scenes

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has revolutionized neural rendering, yet existing methods remain predominantly research prototypes ill-suited for production-level deployment. We identify a critical "Industry-Academia Gap" hindering real-world application: unpredictable resource consumption from heuristic Gaussian growth, the "sparsity shield" of current benchmarks that rewards hallucination over physical fidelity, and severe multi-sensor data pollution. To bridge this gap, we propose YOGO (You Only Gaussian Once), a system-level framework that reformulates the stochastic growth process into a deterministic, budget-aware equilibrium. YOGO integrates a novel budget controller for hardware-constrained resource allocation and an availability-registration protocol for robust multi-sensor fusion. To push the boundaries of reconstruction fidelity, we introduce Immersion v1.0, the first ultra-dense indoor dataset specifically designed to break the "sparsity shield." By providing saturated viewpoint coverage, Immersion v1.0 forces algorithms to focus on extreme physical fidelity rather than viewpoint interpolation, and enables the community to focus on the upper limits of high-fidelity reconstruction. Extensive experiments demonstrate that YOGO achieves state-of-the-art visual quality while maintaining a strictly deterministic profile, establishing a new standard for production-grade 3DGS. To facilitate reproducibility, part scenes of Immersion v1.0 dataset and source code of YOGO has been publicly released. The project link is https://jjrcn.github.io/yogo-project-home/.
