Abstract

Driving World Models (DWMs) have recently advanced rapidly with generative models, yet most existing methods mainly focus on conditional scene generation and lack explicit 3D scene understanding, language-grounded reasoning, and controllable 4D editing capabilities. Moreover, commonly used point cloud, occupancy, or BEV representations make it difficult to achieve fine-grained alignment between textual information and the underlying 3D scene structure. To address these limitations, we propose a foundation-feature Gaussian driving world model that unifies scene understanding, language-grounded reasoning, controllable 4D editing, and multi-modal generation within a single framework. Specifically, we introduce a foundation-feature Gaussian tokenizer that directly distills Qwen/SigLIP visual-language features into 3D Gaussian primitives, building a compact open-vocabulary Gaussian semantic field. We further design a geometry-aware Gaussian adapter that combines importance-aware hierarchical selection with text-conditioned Perceiver-style cross-attention to aggregate dense Gaussian primitives into compact world tokens. To improve representation compatibility, we introduce a KL-based Gaussian--image distribution alignment objective that aligns Gaussian world tokens with foundation image tokens. Based on the aligned Gaussian representation, our framework further supports instruction-controllable scene editing, including weather-conditioned generation and dynamic vehicle manipulation. Extensive experiments on broader driving benchmarks demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance across scene understanding, visual grounding, planning-oriented reasoning, and controllable 4D generation tasks. We will release the code and datasets publicly on Github.

GaussianDream++: Efficient 3D Gaussian World Modeling for Robotic Manipulation

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) policies have advanced language-conditioned robotic manipulation, yet action-imitation objectives provide only weak supervision for metric 3D structure and short-horizon physical evolution. Geometry-enhanced policies mainly improve current-scene grounding, whereas predictive policies often model future dynamics in RGB or latent spaces and may incur substantial deployment cost. GaussianDream demonstrates that training-time current Gaussian reconstruction and future Gaussian prediction provide effective 3D supervision, but its dense VGGT/TGE-based prefix jointly carries state, dynamics, and action-conditioning information. We present \textbf{\methodname}, a compact, policy-native extension that inserts \textbf{World State Tokens} and \textbf{World Prediction Tokens} directly into the VLA backbone. A training-only \textbf{World Representation Head} decodes these tokens into a Current World and coupled Future Prediction over shared Gaussian primitives, while static--dynamic factorization preserves persistent structure and focuses residual motion on interaction-relevant regions. At inference, the head, renderer, auxiliary objectives, and VGGT/TGE pathway are removed, leaving only 20 world tokens without online Gaussian decoding or rollout. \method achieves \textbf{98.6%} on LIBERO and \textbf{87.8%} on LIBERO-Plus, with clear gains under Camera and Layout shifts. Real-robot experiments further improve average success from 29.2% to 52.5% over reproduced π0.5π_{0.5} while maintaining efficient closed-loop control.

Orbis 2: A Hierarchical World Model for Driving

Current world models operate at a single level of abstraction, with most prioritizing perceptual fidelity while lacking the spatial reasoning and semantic understanding required for real-world downstream tasks. We present a hierarchical driving world model that factorizes future prediction across two levels operating at distinct temporal and abstraction scales: a high-level predictor that forecasts coarse scene structure over extended temporal horizons, and a low-level generator that produces detailed predictions conditioned on the high-level output. This decomposition yields high perceptual fidelity while also capturing strong spatial and semantic representations. We further show that pretraining with a diffusion forcing objective yields substantially richer internal representations than the standard teacher forcing objective, while teacher forcing -- predicting only the next frame from clean context -- produces more stable autoregressive rollouts. We therefore introduce a generic two-stage training paradigm that pretrains the model with diffusion forcing and fine-tunes with teacher forcing, combining the representational benefits of the former with the rollout stability of the latter. Our approach achieves state-of-the-art results across the standard suite of driving world model evaluations on established benchmarks, including long-horizon generation fidelity, steering responsiveness evaluated on counterfactual scenarios, and internal representation quality. HelloWorld: Towards Practical Applications of Generative Driving World Models

Driving world models provide a promising route toward scalable counterfactual data generation and interactive simulation beyond recorded driving logs. Realizing this potential requires a system that can generalize across diverse scenes, respond faithfully to prescribed controls, generate coherent multi-sensor observations, and operate efficiently under repeated inference. We present \textbf{HelloWorld}, a 2B driving world model system designed around these requirements. HelloWorld progressively specializes broad visual and motion priors from heterogeneous video data into controllable driving generation using ego pose, HD maps, and 3D boxes. A block-causal generation interface, together with adaptation to self-generated context, aligns the model with sequential simulation. The system further supports synchronized seven-camera RGB generation and conditional LiDAR synthesis, and is distilled toward few-step inference for efficient deployment. Experiments evaluate visual quality, control fidelity, cross-view consistency, robustness under repeated generation, inference efficiency, and LiDAR synthesis. Together, HelloWorld provides a unified framework for scalable driving data generation and interactive simulation.
