Abstract

Diffusion Transformers (DiTs) have shown strong performance in high-fidelity image generation, but their sampling process remains computationally intensive due to full model execution at every timestep. While cache-based acceleration has been explored to mitigate inference cost, naive reuse schemes suffer from low accuracy over long intervals, and Taylor-series-based extrapolation methods often face instability caused by Runge oscillations. In this paper, we propose ChebBooster, a training-free extrapolation framework based on Chebyshev polynomial theory that achieves stable and efficient acceleration for DiTs. Specifically, we adopt the Barycentric formulation to evaluate Chebyshev approximants with high numerical stability and minimal overhead, and further decouple the extrapolation into an offline weight precomputation phase and a lightweight online application stage. Extensive experiments across three representative DiT-based models, including DiT-XL/2, PixArt-ΣΣ, and FLUX.1-dev, demonstrate that ChebBooster achieves consistent improvements in visual quality and inference efficiency, reaching up to 3.68×3.68\times latency speedup and 5.12×5.12\times FLOPs reduction, outperforming existing training-free baselines under diverse generation tasks and resolutions.

Memory-Efficient Training-Free Acceleration of Diffusion Transformers with BaryCache

Diffusion Transformers achieve high-fidelity image and video generation, but their iterative sampling remains expensive, for each denoising step requires large matrix operations. Existing cache-based acceleration reduces redundant computation yet increases the VRAM footprint by storing intermediate states, which can directly constrain inference batch size. In this work, we propose a training-free acceleration method that performs stepwise forecasting for DiT sampling using a Barycentric Extrapolator. By leveraging barycentric extrapolation, our predictor is numerically stable and alleviates oscillatory artifacts analogous to the Runge phenomenon during forward forecasting. Across extensive experiments on both image and video generation, our approach provides a favorable trade-off between memory usage and perceptual quality, while delivering up to 3.30x end-to-end sampling speedup compared with baseline DiT inference.

AccelAes: Accelerating Diffusion Transformers for Training-Free Aesthetic-Enhanced Image Generation

Diffusion Transformers (DiTs) are a dominant backbone for high-fidelity text-to-image generation due to strong scalability and alignment at high resolutions. However, quadratic self-attention over dense spatial tokens leads to high inference latency and limits deployment. We observe that denoising is spatially non-uniform with respect to aesthetic descriptors in the prompt. Regions associated with aesthetic tokens receive concentrated cross-attention and show larger temporal variation, while low-affinity regions evolve smoothly with redundant computation. Based on this insight, we propose AccelAes, a training-free framework that accelerates DiTs through aesthetics-aware spatio-temporal reduction while improving perceptual aesthetics. AccelAes builds AesMask, a one-shot aesthetic focus mask derived from prompt semantics and cross-attention signals. When localized computation is feasible, SkipSparse reallocates computation and guidance to masked regions. We further reduce temporal redundancy using a lightweight step-level prediction cache that periodically replaces full Transformer evaluations. Experiments on representative DiT families show consistent acceleration and improved aesthetics-oriented quality. On Lumina-Next, AccelAes achieves a 2.11×\times speedup and improves ImageReward by +11.9% over the dense baseline. Code is available at https://github.com/xuanhuayin/AccelAes.

BRACE: Taming Sharp Irregularities via Barycentric Rational Forecasting for Fast Diffusion Transformers Inference

Diffusion Transformers (DiTs) have demonstrated exceptional performance in high-fidelity image and video generation. To alleviate their massive computational overhead, temporal feature caching has been proposed to bypass redundant computations. However, existing cache-then-forecast methods driven by derivative-based polynomials often cause severe quality degradation under high acceleration due to unstable long-step predictions. To address this bottleneck, we propose Barycentric Rational Forecasting with Chebyshev Enhancement (BRACE). Motivated by the observation that DiT feature trajectories are globally smooth yet frequently exhibit sharp irregularities and local non-smoothness, BRACE shifts the paradigm from derivative-driven polynomial extrapolation to feature-driven rational forecasting. Specifically, it maintains a local sliding window to cache sparse historical features and leverages adapted Chebyshev weights to formulate a barycentric rational function, directly aggregating these raw features to ensure numerical stability. Extensive experiments demonstrate that BRACE achieves state-of-the-art quality-efficiency trade-offs across various DiT architectures with negligible computational overhead.
