Abstract

Multi-shot agentic video generation requires consistent character appearance, stable spatial layout across camera angles, and continuous character state between shots. When every shot is a separate request to a frozen generator, repeated text does not determine appearance, layout or state. We therefore recast the problem as condition construction and present MVAgent, a multi-agent pipeline whose agents collaborate through typed conditioning inputs. Because an environment image shows one viewpoint, a Spatial Grounding agent samples views from generated camera-traversal clips and anchors each shot to the view matching its framing. As generated shots drift from the plan, an Observer records how each shot ends in a continuity memory, from which a Transition agent builds character action and spatial references for the next shot. An Orchestrator composes these inputs into each request. Since a request reveals its effect only after rendering, we train it by agentic reinforcement learning with Trunk-GDPO, which compares rendered candidates at every shot rather than once per video and continues the best as the trunk. With generator and judges frozen, MVAgent attains the highest cross-shot consistency and narrative-planning quality among the compared methods on ViMax-Bench and is preferred over the strongest agentic baseline in human evaluation.

ViMax: Agentic Video Generation

Long-form video generation requires systematic narrative planning and visual consistency that current short-clip methods cannot provide. Existing methods generate isolated sequences without narrative structure and lack mechanisms for maintaining character and environmental consistency across scenes. We present ViMax, an agentic video generation framework that addresses video creation through coordinated multi-agent collaboration where specialized components negotiate narrative decisions, visual continuity, and production quality. Our framework employs a hierarchical narrative engine with retrieval-augmented generation for global story coherence and a dependency-aware visual consistency mechanism that tracks character and environmental states across temporal boundaries, while VLM-guided agents continuously monitor and refine both narrative coherence and visual fidelity. The framework enables coordinated agent collaboration to generate extended narrative content. This maintains both storytelling integrity and visual coherence across multi-scene timelines.

Any Time, Any Space: A World-State-Centric Framework for Agentic Video Generation

Long-form agentic video generation must turn a screenplay into shots that remain spatially and temporally consistent across nonconsecutive requests. Passing prompts or recent frames between shots does not provide a shared spatial frame for revisiting a scene or a time-indexed record for replaying an earlier event. We present Any Time, Any Space (ATAS), which compiles a screenplay into shot requests with explicit location, camera, and event-time references. Before generation, it retrieves relevant evidence from a scene memory of registered static geometry and an event memory of dynamic observations indexed by scene, event, and time. After generation, ATAS reconstructs and registers the clip. It updates memory only when review and state checks accept the observation, while film delivery remains independent of memory admission. Across four video generators, ATAS improves all reported cross-shot consistency measures and achieves the highest aggregate benchmark score for each backbone. It also outperforms the compared agents and 3D-guided methods on target-image spatial revisit, leads three event-recapture criteria, and receives the highest human ratings on all six criteria. VideoGen-Agent: Reinforcing Video Generation Agents

Recent advances in video generative models have enabled high-fidelity, temporally coherent video generation. However, these models often struggle to satisfy prompts requiring specialized knowledge, specific identities, physical consistency, or ordered events. In this paper, we present VideoGen-Agent, a multimodal agent trained through multitask agentic reinforcement learning to use external tools for video generation. The agent coordinates augmentation, generation, and verification tools through multi-turn interactions, using the prompt and intermediate observations to guide its decisions. We train a shared policy on a category-balanced dataset spanning six tasks. Supervised fine-tuning on teacher-generated trajectories establishes tool-use behavior, which is then refined through reinforcement learning. A category-aware hybrid reward evaluates tool-call validity, task-appropriate tool use, and generated video quality. We further introduce VABench, a held-out benchmark of 600 prompts covering procedural knowledge, single- and multi-entity identity preservation, physical consistency, scene composition, and multi-shot temporal structure. On VABench, VideoGen-Agent improves over its base text-to-video generator by 19.1 points, from 56.5 to 75.6. Upgrading the generation tools further raises the score to 86.1 without additional agent training. Human raters prefer the upgraded configuration over the strongest standalone baseline in 84.3% of comparisons. These results support learning tool use across video-generation tasks and show that the trained agent can benefit from subsequent advances in generation tools.
