Abstract

Recent diffusion and autoregressive models have substantially improved text-to-video generation, yet producing coherent long-form story videos with consistent characters and aligned audio remains challenging. Existing methods often suffer from narrative drift, unstable character identity, weak cross-scene continuity, and audio-visual mismatch over extended sequences. We propose DramaAgent, a hierarchical, agentic, and model-agnostic framework for long-form text-to-video-and-audio generation. Rather than improving the underlying video backbone itself, DramaAgent introduces an upper-level control layer that decomposes generation into story planning, persistent character conditioning, scene-wise synthesis, and reflection-guided targeted repair. The framework maintains reusable story and character states across scenes, diagnoses failures such as identity drift, missing scene semantics, temporal discontinuity, and cross-modal mismatch, and repairs problematic clips in a stage-specific manner. Experiments across multiple video generation backbones show that DramaAgent improves long-horizon coherence, character consistency, narrative fidelity, and scene-level audio-visual consistency over direct generation and strong baselines. These results suggest that hierarchical agentic control is a practical direction for controllable long-form audiovisual generation. Code: https://github.com/AIGeeksGroup/DramaAgent. ViMax: Agentic Video Generation

Long-form video generation requires systematic narrative planning and visual consistency that current short-clip methods cannot provide. Existing methods generate isolated sequences without narrative structure and lack mechanisms for maintaining character and environmental consistency across scenes. We present ViMax, an agentic video generation framework that addresses video creation through coordinated multi-agent collaboration where specialized components negotiate narrative decisions, visual continuity, and production quality. Our framework employs a hierarchical narrative engine with retrieval-augmented generation for global story coherence and a dependency-aware visual consistency mechanism that tracks character and environmental states across temporal boundaries, while VLM-guided agents continuously monitor and refine both narrative coherence and visual fidelity. The framework enables coordinated agent collaboration to generate extended narrative content. This maintains both storytelling integrity and visual coherence across multi-scene timelines.

CineForge: Self-Improving Agents for Long-Horizon Video Generation

Long-horizon story-driven video generation requires a production agent to coordinate narrative decomposition, state tracking, shot design, prompt construction, rendering, and revision across interdependent scenes. Existing adaptive video systems primarily refine requests or reusable skills, leaving recurring production failures disconnected from persistent, stage-targeted improvements across stories. We introduce CineForge, a self-evolving video-production agent framework that couples CineForge-Produce for video generation with CineForge-Evolve for cross-story policy evolution. CineForge-Produce organizes each source story into typed narrative, character, spatial, and cinematic states, uses them to coordinate asset and clip generation, and records the process as a canonical production trajectory. CineForge-Evolve applies Case-to-Pattern-to-Policy Evolution (CPPE) to review trajectory evidence, consolidate recurrent findings into bounded stage-local patches, and deploy validated updates through structural replay and confidence-controlled paired evaluation. To measure complete story realization, we introduce CineScope, which combines a 100-script CineScope-Data suite with a human-aligned, multiscale CineScope-Metric spanning causal state, directorial orchestration, pacing and resource allocation, and character arc. Across CineScope-Data and two public benchmarks, the evolved CineForge policy improves CineScope-Metric from 4.024 to 4.380, outperforms three long-video baselines with consistent gains under ScriptAgent, and reduces review LLM calls by 37.0% on new stories. These results establish production trajectories as actionable experience for video agents that improve cumulatively across long-form storytelling tasks.

DreamShot: Personalized Storyboard Synthesis with Video Diffusion Prior

Storyboard synthesis plays a crucial role in visual storytelling, aiming to generate coherent shot sequences that visually narrate cinematic events with consistent characters, scenes, and transitions. However, existing approaches are mostly adapted from text-to-image diffusion models, which struggle to maintain long-range temporal coherence, consistent character identities, and narrative flow across multiple shots. In this paper, we introduce DreamShot, a video generative model based storyboard framework that fully exploits powerful video diffusion priors for controllable multi-shot synthesis. DreamShot supports both Text-to-Shot and Reference-to-Shot generation, as well as story continuation conditioned on previous frames, enabling flexible and context-aware storyboard generation. By leveraging the spatial-temporal consistency inherent in video generative models, DreamShot produces visually and semantically coherent sequences with improved narrative fidelity and character continuity. Furthermore, DreamShot incorporates a multi-reference role conditioning module that accepts multiple character reference images and enforces identity alignment via a Role-Attention Consistency Loss, explicitly constraining attention between reference and generated roles. Extensive experiments demonstrate that DreamShot achieves superior scene coherence, role consistency, and generation efficiency compared to state-of-the-art text-to-image storyboard models, establishing a new direction toward controllable video model-driven visual storytelling.
