Abstract

Natively training joint video-audio generation models at higher resolutions empowers them to learn richer visual details and sharper motion dynamics. However, full attention incurs quadratic cost and, as resolution increases, spreads attention over increasingly redundant tokens, diluting learning signals for informative content and disrupting pretrained priors. Existing sparse attention methods either target training-free acceleration or overlook the unique structure of joint video-audio data, where cross-modal interactions are inherently concentrated around sound-producing regions. To address this, we propose Prism, a dynamic sparse attention framework for natively training joint video-audio generation models at 2K. In particular, Prism organizes the token sequence into spatiotemporal macro-zones, enabling the attention structure to adapt to local content. For each zone, it estimates local information structure via video feature variance along the channel and feature norms from the audio-to-video cross-attention, jointly capturing how visual content varies directionally and how strongly audio influences each visual region. Based on these signals, Prism dynamically assigns a tailored block shape to each zone, applying finer partitioning along axes of rapid visual content variation and strong audio-visual coupling. This encourages tokens within each block to remain semantically coherent, allowing block-level features to capture both visual content and joint video-audio interaction patterns. Prism further adopts a hybrid block selection strategy to dynamically determine per-query sparsity. Experiments show that Prism achieves 2.5×\times training speedup compared to full attention, while surpassing it in generation quality.

Sol-Attn: Accelerating Video Generation Inference via On-the-Fly Attention Sparsification

Diffusion transformers are essential for high-fidelity video generation, but long token sequences make attention a dominant inference bottleneck. Training-free dynamic sparse attention alleviates this bottleneck by computing only selected key-value blocks, yet existing methods struggle to sparsify attention both efficiently and accurately for two reasons: (1) Rigid, unpredictable, and costly routing: selecting a fixed fraction of top-ranked blocks by proxy score imposes fixed budgets, whereas retaining blocks to reach a target cumulative proxy probability mass yields dynamic but potentially imbalanced budgets; both incur non-negligible overhead from computing and materializing proxy scores. (2) Lossy keep-or-drop sparsification: unselected blocks are discarded entirely, degrading accuracy under aggressive sparsity. These limitations motivate cheaper dynamic-budget routing while limiting accuracy degradation. In this paper, we introduce training-free Sol-Attn (Sparsifying online attention), which unifies dynamic routing, sparse computation, and approximation correction in a single online-softmax pass, achieving a better accuracy-efficiency trade-off in sparse attention. The core of Sol-Attn is on-the-fly block thresholding with proxy-score reuse, which selects critical blocks by comparing block proxy scores against a threshold during online softmax. This design enables dynamic yet controllable block budgets without materializing the proxy map, while directly reusing the proxy scores of unselected blocks to approximate their contribution. Experiments across image and video generation tasks show that Sol-Attn advances the quality-efficiency frontier of training-free sparse attention, delivering 2.1 times and 2.3 times end-to-end speedups for video generation and editing, respectively, while preserving visual quality.

DreamX-Creator: Democratizing Native Audio-Video Generation at 2K Resolution

Recent video generators often omit audio or synthesize it in a separate stage, limiting reciprocal modeling of visual dynamics and acoustic events. We present DreamX-Creator 1.0, a compact native joint audio-video generation system centered on a 7B generator. Conditioned on a first frame and a text prompt, the generator jointly denoises modality-specialized audio and video streams. The streams are processed independently in the first half of the network and coupled in the latter half through Gated Cross-Modal Attention, whose token- and head-wise output gates modulate each active cross-modal attention-head output. A unified Audio-Video Data System constructs and filters temporally coherent clips, produces structured multimodal annotations, and organizes clips into capability-oriented data pools. Progressive Joint Training comprises two audio-video pre-training stages followed by High-Quality Finetuning. Audio-Video Reinforcement Learning further post-trains the generator with Modality-Aware Multimodal Feedback that routes video-, audio-, and cross-modal feedback to the corresponding streams. For high-resolution output, our Autoregressive 1-Step 2K Refinement pipeline adapts a bidirectional multi-step teacher into an autoregressive multi-step refiner and distills it into a student requiring one denoising evaluation per temporal chunk. Overall, DreamX-Creator 1.0 achieves native, synchronized audio-video generation with performance competitive with state-of-the-art open-source systems. By releasing our compact 7B generator and 2K Refiner, we seek to democratize native audio-video generation and provide an accessible foundation for future research in unified audio-video generative modeling.

DFSAttn: Dynamic Fine-grained Sparse Attention for Efficient Video Generation

Diffusion transformers have achieved remarkable success in high-quality video generation, yet their reliance on spatiotemporal 3D full attention incurs prohibitive computational cost due to the quadratic complexity of attention. Block sparse attention is a common approach to mitigate this by focusing computation on important regions. However, attention maps in DiTs exhibit inherently dynamic and fine-grained sparsity, which causes existing block sparse attention methods to degrade significantly in quality, especially at high sparsity ratios. In this paper, we revisit block sparse attention and derive a theoretical lower bound on attention recall to characterize the key factors governing its effectiveness. Guided by these insights, we propose DFSAttn, a training-free sparse attention framework that enables dynamic, fine-grained sparsification efficiently. DFSAttn incorporates three core designs: Hilbert curve-based token reordering to achieve fine-grained sparsity while preserving efficient GPU execution, hierarchical block scoring for accurate block importance estimation, and sparse mask caching with adaptive ratios to balance accuracy and efficiency. Experimental results demonstrate that DFSAttn consistently outperforms prior methods under high sparsity, achieving up to 2.1×\times end-to-end speedup while maintaining high generation quality.
