Abstract

Parametric Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) modeling from human intent remains challenging, particularly during the conceptual design stage, where design goals are expressed through incomplete and unstructured modalities (e.g., hand-drawn sketches and textual descriptions). In this work, we rethink the human intent-to-CAD pipeline and propose a unified method that directly maps multi-level human intents to executable codes, without assuming the prior existence of target CAD models. To support our study, we construct HiCAD, the first large-scale dataset aligning hand-drawn sketches, textual descriptions, and parametric CAD codes. Based on this, we introduce HiCAD, a two-stage framework comprising Cooperative Multi-Task Alignment to bridge the representational gap between heterogeneous inputs, and Spatial-Aware Reinforcement Learning to enforce geometric and topological consistency. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method significantly outperforms existing baselines across multiple tasks, validating its effectiveness and robustness in transforming heterogeneous human intents into high-fidelity parametric CAD models. HierCAD: Hierarchical Text-to-CAD Design via Structure Alignment and Parameter Grounding

Recent text-to-CAD approaches have shown promising results by leveraging large language models, but they often struggle with maintaining structural consistency in complex designs and accurately grounding geometric parameters. To address these issues, we propose HierCAD, a hierarchical text-to-CAD framework that improves both structural reasoning and parameter prediction. HierCAD reformulates CAD generation as progressive reasoning by decomposing CAD construction trees into object-level procedural reasoning and part-level topology reasoning trajectories. To further improve generation fidelity, we introduce a unified Structure Alignment and Parameter Grounding (SAPG) learning strategy. Structure alignment aligns topology reasoning trajectories with their corresponding parametric CAD spans, while parameter grounding mitigates shortcut learning through structure-preserving parameter perturbations and ranking-based supervision. Experiments demonstrate that HierCAD outperforms prior state-of-the-art methods on both CAD sequence generation and reconstructed CAD model evaluation. Zero-to-CAD: Agentic Synthesis of Interpretable CAD Programs at Million-Scale Without Real Data

Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models are defined by their construction history: a parametric recipe that encodes design intent. However, existing large-scale 3D datasets predominantly consist of boundary representations (B-Reps) or meshes, stripping away this critical procedural information. To address this scarcity, we introduce Zero-to-CAD, a scalable framework for synthesizing executable CAD construction sequences. We frame synthesis as an agentic search problem: by embedding a large language model (LLM) within a feedback-driven CAD environment, our system iteratively generates, executes, and validates code using tools and documentation lookup to promote geometric validity and operation diversity. This agentic approach enables the synthesis of approximately one million executable, readable, editable CAD sequences, covering a rich vocabulary of operations beyond sketch-and-extrude workflows. We also release a curated subset of 100,000 high-quality models selected for geometric diversity. To demonstrate the dataset's utility, we fine-tune a vision-language model on our synthetic data to reconstruct editable CAD programs from multi-view images, outperforming strong baselines, including GPT-5.2, and effectively bootstrapping sequence generation capabilities without real construction-history training data. Zero-to-CAD bridges the gap between geometric scale and parametric interpretability, offering a vital resource for the next generation of CAD AI.

ReliCAD: From Uncertain LLM Generation to Reliable Parametric CAD Modeling

Large language models have shown considerable potential for natural-language-driven parametric CAD modeling. However, a fundamental contradiction exists between their probabilistic generation and the deterministic requirements of CAD modeling, resulting in limitations in reliability, design-intent preservation, and geometric validity. Existing methods typically rely on large-scale annotated datasets, lack explicit modeling of design intent, and underutilize the deterministic capabilities of CAD kernels. To address these limitations, we propose ReliCAD, a unified framework that transforms uncertain LLM generation into reliable parametric CAD modeling. Through explicit design-intent modeling, ReliCAD converts user requirements into structured design specifications and explicitly models geometric relations, topological dependencies, and feature construction order. It then generates constraint-aware parametric instructions and invokes the CAD kernel through an Agent-ready API to perform geometric construction and constraint solving. ReliCAD further records runtime evidence and employs a verification-feedback mechanism to assess consistency between the generated model and the design specifications, enabling error localization and iterative repair. Experiments on the public HistCAD generation dataset and our multi-granularity CAD editing dataset demonstrate that ReliCAD significantly outperforms baseline methods, achieving 99.8% validity rate and 0.8753 IoU. ReliCAD provides a verifiable, repairable, and generalizable approach to natural-language-interactive CAD modeling.
