Abstract

Modeling human-object interaction (HOI) in real environments requires jointly representing whole-body motion, manipulated objects, and scene geometry, yet existing datasets trade off scalable capture against structured, scene-aligned supervision. We introduce SituHOI, a large-scale RGB-D dataset containing 18,429 annotated clips across 16 indoor rooms and approximately 86 hours of quality-screened activity. It pairs recordings from a single moving RGB-D camera with static scene scans, object geometry, language descriptions, and estimated human and object trajectories. Using the scans as persistent references, our pipeline combines camera localization and depth-based metric alignment with human mesh recovery, object tracking, and temporal refinement to register all geometric annotations in a shared floor-aligned frame. These data support FlexHOI-Bench, a goal-conditioned joint motion prediction benchmark with variable observation and prediction durations. Given observed histories, scene and object geometry, and a terminal object pose, models predict future human and object motion. We provide SharedHOI as a reference predictor and evaluate world-space accuracy and human-object coordination. On a MoCap subset, our pipeline reduces human G-MPJPE from 195.4 to 68.3 mm and object translation error from 43.0 to 28.7 mm. SharedHOI leads four adapted baselines on all three aggregate FlexHOI-Bench metrics. Data will be released upon acceptance. MAMHOI: Factorizing Scene-Aware Human-Object Interaction through Affordances

Generating realistic human-object interactions (HOI) in complex 3D scenes requires two complementary capabilities: reasoning about interaction feasibility in the environment and synthesizing realistic human-object motion. However, supervision for these capabilities is rarely available jointly at scale. Human-scene datasets provide rich information about environment-aware motion, while human-object datasets capture detailed interaction dynamics, yet paired human-object-scene data remain scarce. We present MAMHOI, an affordance-mediated factorization for scene-aware human-object interaction generation. MAMHOI factorizes scene-aware HOI generation through an explicit motion-affordance interface between scene understanding and motion synthesis: a scene-conditioned model first predicts where and how an interaction can be feasibly executed, and an affordance-conditioned HOI model then generates the corresponding human-object motion. This factorization allows scene understanding and interaction dynamics to be learned from complementary sources of supervision without requiring paired human-object-scene data. Experiments in complex indoor environments show that MAMHOI reduces object--scene penetration while better preserving human--object interaction quality, yielding more realistic and physically feasible scene-aware interactions. Imagine2Real: Towards Zero-shot Humanoid-Object Interaction via Video Generative Priors

Whole-body Humanoid-Object Interaction (HOI) is bottlenecked by the scarcity of high-fidelity 3D data. While video generative priors offer a promising alternative, existing methods suffer from Representation Misalignment due to their reliance on geometric priors (e.g., explicit CAD models), and Retargeting Complexity arising from intensive morphing and morphological mismatch. We propose Imagine2Real, a zero-shot HOI framework for flexible, geometry-free interaction. To resolve misalignment, we formulate robot and object motions as unified 4D point trajectories. To overcome retargeting complexity, our Keypoints Tracker tracks only sparse critical points (base, hands, and object), entirely bypassing the error-amplifying retargeting process. To maintain natural gaits despite these sparse signals, we utilize the latent space of a Behavior Foundation Model (BFM) as the tracker's search domain. Using a progressive training strategy, Imagine2Real learns robust behaviors with simple tracking rewards, enabling zero-shot physical deployment within a motion capture(mocap) system.

MFlowHOI: Whole-Body Human-Object Interaction Generation via Part-Aware MeanFlow

Whole-body human-object interaction (HOI) generation requires coordinating body and finger motion, object trajectories, and time-varying contacts. Existing methods typically rely on iterative diffusion or test-time optimization, resulting in high inference costs. Direct one-step generation is highly desired in downstream applications due to efficient inference. However, it is challenging because these HOI components differ substantially in structure and scale. We present MFlowHOI, an efficient one-step framework for whole-body HOI generation. A Contact-Aware Multipart RVQVAE organizes body, hand, object, and contact signals into a structured latent space, with a shared decoder preserving their global coordination. An ST-DiT then models temporal and cross-part dependencies in this space and generates a complete interaction in a single MeanFlow evaluation. Predicted object-local contact correspondences further enable geometric refinement and interaction-preserving transfer to photorealistic 3D Gaussian avatars with different body proportions. Experiments demonstrate that MFlowHOI outperforms existing base generators in motion quality and text alignment while substantially reducing inference time.
