Abstract

Recent progress in visual scene generation has extended beyond static 3D scenes toward the more challenging problem of generating dynamic 4D scenes from minimal input. However, sound, despite being intrinsically coupled with dynamic objects and events, remains largely unmodeled in prior work. We introduce Video-to-4DAVScene, a new task that turns a video into an explorable, time-varying 4D audio-visual scene, and present the SonoWorld4D framework for this task. Given a monocular video, our method generates a 360 static background, reconstructs explicit motion trajectories of dynamic, sound-emitting foreground objects, and synthesizes a physically-grounded sound field consistent across multiple sources through dual-space audio diffusion synchronization. The resulting 4D scene supports real-time novel-view visual and spatial audio rendering. Evaluation on real-world dynamic scenes and a user study demonstrates SonoWorld4D generates 4D audio-visual scenes with perceptually realistic, physically grounded spatial audio consistent with scene geometry and visual content.

SonoWorld: From One Image to a 3D Audio-Visual Scene

Tremendous progress in visual scene generation now turns a single image into an explorable 3D world, yet immersion remains incomplete without sound. We introduce Image2AVScene, the task of generating a 3D audio-visual scene from a single image, and present SonoWorld, the first framework to tackle this challenge. From one image, our pipeline outpaints a 360° panorama, lifts it into a navigable 3D scene, places language-guided sound anchors, and renders ambisonics for point, areal, and ambient sources, yielding spatial audio aligned with scene geometry and semantics. Quantitative evaluations on a newly curated real-world dataset and a controlled user study confirm the effectiveness of our approach. Beyond free-viewpoint audio-visual rendering, we also demonstrate applications to one-shot acoustic learning and audio-visual spatial source separation. CP4D: Compositional Physics-aware 4D Scene Generation

4D generation (i.e., dynamic 3D generation) has recently emerged as a rapidly growing research frontier due to its powerful spatiotemporal modeling capabilities. However, despite notable advances, existing approaches typically fail to capture the underlying physical principles, producing results that are both physically inconsistent and visually implausible. To overcome this limitation, we present CP4D, a novel paradigm for photorealistic 4D scene synthesis with faithful adherence to complex physical dynamics. Drawing inspiration from the compositional nature of real-world scenes, where immutable static backgrounds coexist with dynamic, physically plausible foregrounds, CP4D reformulates 4D generation as the integration of a static 3D environment with physically grounded dynamic objects. On this basis, our framework follows a three-stage pipeline: 1) Firstly, we leverage pre-trained expert models to generate high-fidelity 3D representations of the environment and foreground objects respectively. 2) Subsequently, to produce physically plausible trajectories and realistic interactions for these objects, we propose a hybrid motion synthesis strategy that integrates priors from physical simulators with the common sense embedded in video diffusion models. 3) Finally, we develop an automated composition mechanism that seamlessly fuses the static environment and dynamic objects into coherent, physically consistent 4D scenes. Extensive experiments demonstrate that CP4D can generate explorable and interactive 4D scenes with high visual fidelity, strong physical plausibility, and fine-grained controllability, significantly outperforming existing methods. Full-4D: Generating Full-Scope 4D Scenes from a Single-View Video

Generating 4D scenes from a single-view video is inherently ill-posed: a single viewpoint lacks the information needed to recover a complete, dynamic scene with full coverage. Existing methods are typically limited to monocular videos, simple 3D effects, or only small viewpoint perturbations around the original viewpoint, falling short of true 4D generation. Meanwhile, the lack of large-scale datasets capturing full-scope 4D scenes with synchronized multi-view videos further hinders progress in this direction. We propose a novel single-view video-to-4D framework that casts full-scope 4D generation as a multi-view video synthesis followed by optimization-based 4D reconstruction from the generated views. To instantiate this formulation end-to-end, we make three key contributions. First, we introduce Real-MV-4D, a large-scale dataset of synchronized multi-view videos captured in diverse real-world environments to provide the 4D supervision. Second, we train a multi-view video diffusion model driven by a novel fused time(T)-view(V) attention mechanism that directly embeds geometric reprojection priors and explicit camera conditioning into its view-time interactions. Unlike basic feature fusion, this direct binding strictly aligns the generation process with physical 3D priors to produce a dense, synchronized T×\times V video grid. Third, rather than relying on non-interactive and inconsistent 2D video interpolations, we lift the synthesized multi-view videos into an explicit 4D representation (i.e. 4DGS), regularized by a Flow Matching Distillation loss that exploits the multi-view prior to improve novel-view rendering. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method outperforms existing approaches in both visual fidelity and geometric consistency, enabling full-scope 4D scene generation from single-view videos.
