Abstract

GUI web agents require realistic and interactive environments that remain stable during both evaluation and training. Live website evaluation suffers from changing content, access restrictions, and limited coverage of authenticated workflows, while existing synthetic environments for training often lack functional depth and visual fidelity. We propose WebHarbor, a suite of 153 executable and dockerized website environments that faithfully reconstruct the visual interfaces, content, and functional workflows of real-world web services under deterministic control. We build WebHarbor through task-driven human-agent collaboration, where environments evolve as new tasks expand their functional scope, coding agents implement the required changes, and human contributors audit visual fidelity, functional correctness, and task validity. The resulting suite comprises 3,518 tasks spanning multi-step and post-authentication workflows, where existing works often fail to cover. Beyond reliable evaluation, WebHarbor provides high-fidelity synthetic web environments for cost-efficient reinforcement learning (RL). We demonstrate that a Qwen 4B-level GUI agent trained with RL in WebHarbor generalizes to unseen tasks and performs competitively with leading open-source GUI web agents across four benchmarks. The code and data are publicly available at https://github.com/aiming-lab/WebHarbor.

InfiniteWeb: Scalable Web Environment Synthesis for GUI Agent Training

GUI agents that interact with graphical interfaces on behalf of users represent a promising direction for practical AI assistants. However, training such agents is hindered by the scarcity of suitable environments. We present InfiniteWeb, a system that automatically generates functional web environments at scale for GUI agent training. While LLMs perform well on generating a single webpage, building a realistic and functional website with many interconnected pages faces challenges. We address these challenges through unified specification, task-centric test-driven development, and a combination of website seed with reference design image to ensure diversity. Our system also generates verifiable task evaluators enabling dense reward signals for reinforcement learning. Experiments show that InfiniteWeb surpasses commercial coding agents at realistic website construction, and GUI agents trained on our generated environments achieve significant performance improvements on OSWorld and Online-Mind2Web, demonstrating the effectiveness of proposed system.

WebAnything: From the Wild Web to Scalable Agent Environments

Web agents require diverse, executable, and resettable website environments for reproducible training and evaluation. Human-assisted mirrors demand per-site engineering, while generative construction can diverge from specified real websites. Capture-and-replay preserves observations, with interaction coverage constrained by captured content and replay capabilities. We present WebAnything, a fully automated framework that reconstructs source-grounded, reusable Web environments from real URLs without per-site manual implementation or repair after initial setup and authorization. An Explorer-Builder collects browser-observable structures, resources, and interaction outcomes; an independent verifier checks frozen candidates and guides local repair or targeted source recapture. We construct 244 website artifacts across 14 application domains and 53 categories, supporting 12,984 executed and accepted tasks. Compared with human-assisted WebHarbor, WebAnything achieves higher aggregate scores on three fidelity metrics, with 12 wins, two ties, and no losses in a blind audit. Fine-tuning Qwen3.5-9B on 5,856 interaction trajectories improves REAL success by 9.9 percentage points, Odysseys-Easy Rubric Avg and Task Avg by 6.25 and 6.32 percentage points, and WebArena-Verified Overall success by 13.33 percentage points under the fixed harness. ScaleWoB: Guiding GUI Agents with Coding Agents via Large-Scale Environmental Synthesis

GUI agents powered by large language models are advancing rapidly, creating urgent needs for evaluation and training based on realistic environments. However, directly doing so in real-world environments introduces some challenges that cannot be overlooked. Real-world environments are complex and uncontrollable, making it difficult to construct verifiable rewards and to save or reset states. Existing works prioritize reproducibility but are often limited to open-source apps or file-operation tasks for reliable reward building, leaving a persistent gap from real-world usage. Furthermore, relying on virtual machines or docker images demand high resource requirements and suffer from slow response speeds, which limit the efficiency. We present \sys, a framework that could produce high-fidelity synthesized interactive environments for GUI agents across platforms with verifiable rewards. These environments behave as backend-free webpages accessible via URL, requiring near-zero setup and low resource cost, making the approach suitable for both large-scale evaluation and downstream agent training. We support multiple GUI platforms including mobile, desktop, and automotive/in-vehicle interfaces based on the same pipeline, covering 100+ environments and 1000+ verifiable tasks. Among them, 120 challenging tasks across 63 simulated mobile applications are released as a fully synthesized mobile GUI agent benchmark. Experiment results on five state-of-the-art mobile GUI agents reveal substantial headroom -- the average success rate is only 27.92%, dropping to 17.82% on long-horizon subset -- while humans reach 92.08%. A comparison against real-world sample tasks shows that assessments made in our synthetic environments generalize to real apps. The project website is at https://scalewob.github.io.
