Capillary Image
Capillary image analysis focuses on automatically quantifying features of capillaries from images, crucial for diagnosing various diseases where capillary structure and density are altered. Current research emphasizes developing automated image analysis pipelines using deep learning models, such as U-Net variations and instance segmentation algorithms, trained on large, annotated datasets of nailfold, cardiac, and interosseous capillaries. These advancements aim to improve the speed, accuracy, and objectivity of capillary assessments, ultimately aiding in early disease detection and personalized medicine. The development of efficient, locally-run software solutions addresses the need for real-time analysis while mitigating data privacy concerns.
