Catheter Tip
Catheter tip localization and manipulation are crucial aspects of minimally invasive medical procedures, with research focusing on improving accuracy and safety. Current efforts involve developing advanced imaging techniques, such as transformer-based networks and electrical impedance tomography, to enhance real-time tracking and shape reconstruction of catheters, even in challenging environments like occluded vessels or during cardiac motion. These improvements aim to reduce procedural times, increase the success rate of interventions (e.g., thrombectomy), and minimize complications associated with inaccurate catheter placement, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes.
