Game Decomposition
Game decomposition is a field of research focused on breaking down complex games into simpler, more manageable components to facilitate analysis and computation of solutions like the core or Nash equilibria. Current research emphasizes developing efficient algorithms, such as iterative coalition sampling and those leveraging best-response oracles, to approximate solutions for large-scale games, including applications in explainable AI. This work is significant because it addresses the computational challenges inherent in analyzing complex cooperative and non-cooperative games, improving our understanding of strategic interactions and enabling the application of game theory to increasingly complex real-world problems.
