Lane Annotation
Lane annotation, the process of labeling lane markings in images or point clouds, is crucial for developing autonomous driving systems and high-definition mapping. Current research focuses on improving the accuracy and efficiency of lane annotation, including the development of novel deep learning models for both 2D and 3D lane detection from various sensor modalities (e.g., cameras, LiDAR) and leveraging techniques like attention mechanisms and label-guided distillation to enhance model performance. These advancements are driving progress in robust lane detection, enabling more reliable autonomous navigation and the creation of precise, updatable road maps.
