Light Field Image Super Resolution

Light field image super-resolution (LFSR) aims to enhance the resolution of light field images, which capture both spatial and angular information, resulting in richer depth cues and improved visual quality. Recent research focuses on developing efficient and effective deep learning models, including transformers and state-space models, to overcome challenges like computational complexity and the effective handling of high-dimensional data inherent in light fields. These advancements leverage spatial-angular correlations and address limitations of previous methods, leading to improved performance metrics and more realistic, detail-preserving results. The improved quality of LFSR has implications for various applications, including 3D display, virtual and augmented reality, and computer vision tasks.
