Micro Gesture

Micro-gestures, subtle and fine-grained body movements, are increasingly studied for their potential in human-computer interaction and emotion recognition. Current research focuses on developing robust classification and online recognition systems using various approaches, including deep learning models like 3D convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and spiking neural networks (SNNs), often incorporating multimodal data fusion (e.g., visual and textual information) to improve accuracy. These advancements aim to enable more natural and intuitive interfaces for wearable devices and improve the understanding of nonverbal communication, with applications ranging from assistive technologies to affective computing.
