Sketch Photo
Sketch photo research focuses on bridging the significant visual gap between hand-drawn sketches and photographs, primarily for image retrieval and synthesis tasks. Current efforts utilize various deep learning architectures, including diffusion models, generative adversarial networks (GANs), and transformer-based networks, often incorporating techniques like prompt learning and contrastive learning to improve cross-modal matching and representation learning. This research is crucial for advancing applications in forensic science (sketch-to-mugshot matching), computer-aided design, and creative image editing, where efficient and accurate sketch-photo interactions are highly desirable. The development of large, diverse datasets and improved evaluation metrics are also key areas of ongoing investigation.
