Stroke Based Rendering
Stroke-based rendering (SBR) focuses on recreating images as sequences of brushstrokes, mimicking the artistic process. Current research emphasizes developing deep learning models, often employing neural networks and reinforcement learning, to generate realistic and stylistically consistent stroke sequences, addressing challenges like uneven stroke distribution and achieving artistic planning in the stroke order. This field is significant for advancing image generation, art education, and robotic applications, offering new tools for creative expression and automated artistic creation. Furthermore, SBR techniques are being explored for applications beyond image generation, such as character recognition and robotic drawing.
