Abstract

Existing industrial 3D garment meshes already cover most real-world clothing geometries, yet their texture diversity remains limited. To acquire more realistic textures, generative methods are often used to extract Physically-based Rendering (PBR) textures and materials from large collections of wild images and project them back onto garment meshes. However, most image-conditioned texture generation approaches require strict topological consistency between the input image and the input 3D mesh, or rely on accurate mesh deformation to match to the image poses, which significantly constrains the texture generation quality and flexibility. To address the challenging problem of non-isometric image-based garment texture generation, we construct 3D Garment Videos, a physically simulated, garment-centric dataset that provides consistent geometry and material supervision across diverse deformations, enabling robust cross-pose texture learning. We further employ Nano Banana for high-quality non-isometric image editing, achieving reliable cross-topology texture generation between non-isometric image-geometry pairs. Finally, we propose an iterative baking method via uncertainty-guided view selection and reweighting that fuses multi-view predictions into seamless, production-ready PBR textures. Through extensive experiments, we demonstrate that our feedforward dual-branch architecture generates versatile and spatially aligned PBR materials suitable for industry-level 3D garment design.

Ink3D: Sculpting 3D Assets with Extremely Complex Textures via Video Generative Models

Recent 3D generative models can synthesize high-quality geometry but often struggle to reproduce intricate textures from reference images, largely due to the scarcity of large-scale 3D training data with rich surface appearance. In contrast, visual generative models are trained on datasets several orders of magnitude larger and excel at modeling complex visual patterns. Motivated by this gap, we introduce Ink3D, a framework that bridges 3D generation with large-scale video generative models to synthesize extremely complex textures. Ink3D first reconstructs a white-mesh geometry using an off-the-shelf 3D generation model. It then employs OrbitPainter, a conditional video generative model, to produce dense orbit-scan videos capturing object appearance across viewpoints. To convert these views into coherent textures, we introduce TextureOptimizer, a neural baking module that integrates dense multi-view observations while mitigating geometry inconsistencies arising from video generation. By decoupling geometry and texture synthesis and leveraging large-scale pretrained video priors, Ink3D enables significantly richer and more faithful texture generation than prior approaches.

Fashion-3DLR: A Controllable 3D Garment Generation Using Pairwise Fashion Elements for Intelligent Design

AI-generated content (AIGC) has made significant progress, with 2D generative models becoming ready-to-use tools for the digital fashion industry. However, 3D garment generation remains in its nascent stage, where in the realm of fashion, the semantic information of diverse design elements exhibits intricate coupling relationships in 3D representations, posing substantial challenges for generating diverse 3D garments. In this work, to handle the above problem, We introduce Fashion-3DLR, a novel 3D garment generation framework that utilizes diverse design elements to create high-quality, versatile 3D garment assets. Specifically, to bridge the semantic gaps between different fashion elements, we propose a Garment Feature Fusion Diffusion Transformer (GFF-DiT) module to integrate 2D fashion design elements, e.g., sketch and texture, into latent space. Within the latent space, we then employ a rectified flow transformer to generate geometry latents, which can be decoded into various 3D garment representations, including 3D Gaussians and meshes. Furthermore, we integrate Fashion-3DLR into downstream tasks, achieving the 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS)-driven cloth physical simulation and mesh-based virtual try-on. Experimental results indicate that Fashion-3DLR surpass the previous state-of-the-art methods, which verify that the proposed work can generate well-structured, non-watertight garments capable of physical simulation and virtual try-on, underscoring its potential as a versatile 3D garment design tool.

Advances in Neural 3D Mesh Texturing: A Survey

Texturing 3D meshes plays a vital role in determining the visual realism of digital objects and scenes. Although recent generative 3D approaches based on Neural Radiance Fields and Gaussian Splatting can produce textured assets directly, polygonal meshes remain the core representation across modeling, animation, visual effects, and gaming pipelines. Neural 3D mesh texturing therefore continues to be an essential and active area of research. In this survey, we present a comprehensive review of recent advances in neural 3D mesh texturing, covering methods for texture synthesis, transfer, and completion. We first summarize key foundations in mesh geometry, texture mapping, differentiable rendering, and neural generative models, and then organize the literature into a unified taxonomy spanning early GAN-based methods to modern diffusion-based pipelines. We further analyze common architectures and supervision strategies, review datasets and evaluation protocols, and discuss emerging applications, practical/commercial systems, and open challenges. Together, these insights provide a structured perspective on the current landscape and help guide future developments in learning-based 3D mesh texturing.
