Abstract

GUI agents that interact with graphical interfaces on behalf of users represent a promising direction for practical AI assistants. However, training such agents is hindered by the scarcity of suitable environments. We present InfiniteWeb, a system that automatically generates functional web environments at scale for GUI agent training. While LLMs perform well on generating a single webpage, building a realistic and functional website with many interconnected pages faces challenges. We address these challenges through unified specification, task-centric test-driven development, and a combination of website seed with reference design image to ensure diversity. Our system also generates verifiable task evaluators enabling dense reward signals for reinforcement learning. Experiments show that InfiniteWeb surpasses commercial coding agents at realistic website construction, and GUI agents trained on our generated environments achieve significant performance improvements on OSWorld and Online-Mind2Web, demonstrating the effectiveness of proposed system.

ScaleWoB: Guiding GUI Agents with Coding Agents via Large-Scale Environmental Synthesis

GUI agents powered by large language models are advancing rapidly, creating urgent needs for evaluation and training based on realistic environments. However, directly doing so in real-world environments introduces some challenges that cannot be overlooked. Real-world environments are complex and uncontrollable, making it difficult to construct verifiable rewards and to save or reset states. Existing works prioritize reproducibility but are often limited to open-source apps or file-operation tasks for reliable reward building, leaving a persistent gap from real-world usage. Furthermore, relying on virtual machines or docker images demand high resource requirements and suffer from slow response speeds, which limit the efficiency. We present \sys, a framework that could produce high-fidelity synthesized interactive environments for GUI agents across platforms with verifiable rewards. These environments behave as backend-free webpages accessible via URL, requiring near-zero setup and low resource cost, making the approach suitable for both large-scale evaluation and downstream agent training. We support multiple GUI platforms including mobile, desktop, and automotive/in-vehicle interfaces based on the same pipeline, covering 100+ environments and 1000+ verifiable tasks. Among them, 120 challenging tasks across 63 simulated mobile applications are released as a fully synthesized mobile GUI agent benchmark. Experiment results on five state-of-the-art mobile GUI agents reveal substantial headroom -- the average success rate is only 27.92%, dropping to 17.82% on long-horizon subset -- while humans reach 92.08%. A comparison against real-world sample tasks shows that assessments made in our synthetic environments generalize to real apps. The project website is at https://scalewob.github.io.

GTA: Generating Long-Horizon Tasks for Web Agents at Scale

Web agents, which couple language models with browsing and tool-use capabilities, show promise as open web assistants. Yet progress is increasingly limited by the lack of scalable, process-level supervision. Existing benchmarks are largely manually constructed, providing only coarse start-goal annotations without intermediate trajectories, while recent automatic generation efforts remain expensive, biased, and shallow. These limitations prevent reliable training and evaluation of agents that must generalize to realistic, multi-hop, cross-page tasks. We introduce a scalable framework, GTA, that integrates crawling, retrieval-based seeding, in-context generation, and automated quality control to produce realistic tasks paired with executable trajectories. This design decouples crawling from generation for greater efficiency, grounds tasks in the site graph to enforce compositionality, and ensures dense supervision through deterministic replays and systematic validation. We instantiate the pipeline on over 50 websites covering e-commerce, government, forums, and news, with multilingual and multi-hop coverage. The resulting benchmark reveals a significant human-agent performance gap and enables detailed diagnostics. Our contributions are three-fold: (i) formalizing multi-hop web-agent task generation, (ii) proposing an efficient and validated pipeline for automatic data creation, and (iii) releasing a dynamic benchmark with reproducible evaluation.

Weblica: Scalable and Reproducible Training Environments for Visual Web Agents

The web is complex, open-ended, and constantly changing, making it challenging to scale training data for visual web agents. Existing data collection attempts remain limited to offline trajectories for supervised fine-tuning or a handful of simulated environments for RL training, thus failing to capture web diversity. We propose Weblica (Web Replica), a framework for constructing reproducible and scalable web environments. Our framework leverages 1) HTTP-level caching to capture and replay stable visual states while preserving interactive behavior and 2) LLM-based environment synthesis grounded in real-world websites and core web navigation skills. Using this framework, we scale RL training to thousands of diverse environments and tasks. Our best model, Weblica-8B, outperforms open-weight baselines of similar size across multiple web navigation benchmarks while using fewer inference steps, scales favorably with additional test-time compute, and is competitive with API models.
