Abstract

3D Gaussian Splatting has demonstrated superior performance in rendering efficiency and quality, yet the generation of 3D Gaussians still remains a challenge without proper geometric priors. Existing methods have explored predicting point maps as geometric references for inferring Gaussian primitives, while the unreliable estimated geometries may lead to poor generations. In this work, we introduce GaussianGrow, a novel approach that generates 3D Gaussians by learning to grow them from easily accessible 3D point clouds, naturally enforcing geometric accuracy in Gaussian generation. Specifically, we design a text-guided Gaussian growing scheme that leverages a multi-view diffusion model to synthesize consistent appearances from input point clouds for supervision. To mitigate artifacts caused by fusing neighboring views, we constrain novel views generated at non-preset camera poses identified in overlapping regions across different views. For completing the hard-to-observe regions, we propose to iteratively detect the camera pose by observing the largest un-grown regions in point clouds and inpainting them by inpainting the rendered view with a pretrained 2D diffusion model. The process continues until complete Gaussians are generated. We extensively evaluate GaussianGrow on text-guided Gaussian generation from synthetic and even real-scanned point clouds. CGGS: Consistency-Augmented Geometric Gaussian Splatting for Ego-centric 3D Scene Generation

Challenges remain in ego-centric 3D scene generation due to limited view overlap and the dominant influence of individual perspectives on scene interpretation. These factors hinder the creation of viewpoint-consistent and semantically aligned visual content, as well as the construction of accurate geometric structures. In this paper, we propose CGGS, a text-to-3D framework aiming to enhance 3D-content-awareness and address geometric distortions in ego-centric scene generation. Firstly, the Ego-centric Generator is proposed by fine-tuning a Multi-View Latent Diffusion Model with consistency-augmented loss to generate consistent, high-fidelity 2D content aligned with textual descriptions. Then, Layout Decorator leverages optical flow and point-track correspondence to estimate depth, therefore producing dense point clouds as coarse layouts from the ego-centric 2D priors. Building on this initialization, Geometric Refiner is proposed to enhance 3D Gaussian reconstruction via an entropy-based Mutual Information Depth Loss (MID) combined with a hierarchical optimization scheme for improving visual quality and geometric structure. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that CGGS outperforms previous methods in generating coherent and accurate text-driven 3D scenes. Project page: https://cggs-26.github.io/cggs26/.

Fusion-Aware Direct 3D Gaussian Generation with Structured Patch Latent Flows

Class-guided 3D object generation is important for intelligent content creation, virtual environments, and digital asset design. Although 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) offers an explicit and render-efficient representation, directly generating 3D Gaussian objects is difficult because Gaussian primitives are unordered, variable-sized, locally dense, and highly sensitive to rendering. Existing 3DGS generation methods usually depend on multi-view synthesis, reconstruction, or lifted 2D priors, fusing information mainly from observed views rather than modeling the intrinsic structural distribution of 3D Gaussian objects. This paper proposes a fusion-aware hierarchical Gaussian patch representation for direct class-guided 3DGS generation with rectified flow. Irregular Gaussian sets are decomposed into canonical local patches and encoded as structured tokens. The resulting hierarchical latent space fuses global class semantics, patch-level geometry and appearance, spatial correspondence, and rendering-sensitive cues. On this basis, we design a structure-aware rectified flow model with patch-position conditioning, global-local coupled velocity prediction, and density-aware velocity weighting, enabling direct latent generation of class-conditioned 3DGS objects within seconds. A render-feedback fusion strategy further aligns latent flow learning with decoded multi-view rendering quality. Experiments show that the proposed method generates 3D Gaussian objects with more coherent geometry, sharper local details, and better multi-view consistency than baseline latent generative models. Ablation studies confirm the contributions of hierarchical information fusion, global-local coupling, density-aware supervision, and render-feedback learning while preserving practical sampling efficiency overall.

PointGauss: Point Cloud-Guided Multi-Object Segmentation for Gaussian Splatting

While 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has established new standards for high-fidelity 3D scene modeling, interpreting massive, unstructured Gaussian primitives into meaningful geospatial entities remains a critical challenge for remote sensing and urban applications. Existing 2D-to-3D distillation methods suffer from projection ambiguities, geometric inconsistencies, and computational bottlenecks when applied to complex, large-scale topographies. Furthermore, current benchmarks lack natively aligned 2D-3D ground truth tailored for splatting-based representations. To address these limitations, we propose PointGauss, a unified 3D-native framework for robust semantic parsing and instance segmentation. By treating Gaussian primitives as unstructured point sets, PointGauss leverages Point Transformer V3 (PTv3) to extract scale-invariant geometric features directly from Gaussian attributes, effectively resolving projection ambiguities. To ensure scalability in building-scale scenes, we introduce an adaptive region-of-interest cropping strategy and an instance-aware distance-constrained rasterization pipeline for pixel-level, view-consistent projection. Additionally, we present SplatSeg-360, the first rigorous cross-scale benchmark tailored for 3DGS, comprising 32 complex scenes with full 360∘^\circ coverage and over 6,300 natively aligned 2D-3D masks. Extensive experiments demonstrate that PointGauss operates in real-time and achieves state-of-the-art performance. Notably, it attains approximately 90% 3D-mIoU in large-scale building scenarios and roughly 80% 2D-mIoU in view-consistent 2D instance segmentation, outperforming baseline methods by 16%. (Code)
