Abstract

We introduce T2Mo, a feed-forward framework for controllable dynamic 3D shape generation conditioned on 3D trajectories and text. Due to the inherent ambiguity of language, generating precisely intended motions using text alone remains challenging. To address this, we adopt 3D trajectories as controllable spatial guidance, specifying the exact paths along which selected points should move. By combining both, T2Mo generates object motions that spatially adhere to the given trajectories while globally reflecting the text semantics. To robustly handle trajectory inputs with arbitrary configurations, ranging from dense to sparse and unevenly distributed, we further propose a shape-grounded trajectory embedding that maps an input trajectory set into a shape-aware token set covering the entire object. We conduct extensive comparisons against text-based baselines and cascaded video-based baselines that combine trajectory-guided video generation with video-to-dynamic mesh generation. Quantitative and qualitative evaluations, along with user studies, demonstrate that our approach produces motions that more faithfully follow the given prompts with higher expressiveness while preserving motion quality.

MoVT: Video-Augmented Motion Tokenizer for Text-to-Motion Generation

Text-driven 3D human motion generation models face significant challenges in responding to diverse and unconstrained textual prompts, primarily due to the limited availability of 3D motion training data. To address this, we introduce MoVT, a novel framework that effectively leverages the extensive range of human action videos to enhance text-to-motion generation. At the core of our approach is the cross-modal augmented motion tokenizer, which projects discrete 3D motion tokens into the 2D domain. This projection allows us to enrich the motion codebook with complex, real-world motion patterns derived from videos. The enriched discrete tokens are then mapped back to the 3D domain, resulting in aligned 3D and 2D codebooks with an enhanced capacity to represent intricate motions. These enhanced codebooks are integrated into a generative masked transformer, which predicts masked motion token indices in a modality-agnostic manner. This enables the use of text-index pairs, generated from the 2D codebook and annotated motion videos, to further enhance the generator. Extensive empirical evaluations show that MoVT performs favorably against prior state-of-the-art methods across multiple key metrics.

Re^2MoGen: Open-Vocabulary Motion Generation via LLM Reasoning and Physics-Aware Refinement

Text-to-motion (T2M) generation aims to control the behavior of a target character via textual descriptions. Leveraging text-motion paired datasets, existing T2M models have achieved impressive performance in generating high-quality motions within the distribution of their training data. However, their performance deteriorates notably when the motion descriptions differ significantly from the training texts. To address this issue, we propose Re2^2MoGen, a Reasoning and Refinement open-vocabulary Motion Generation framework that leverages enhanced Large Language Model (LLM) reasoning to generate an initial motion planning and then refine its physical plausibility via reinforcement learning (RL) post-training. Specifically, Re2^2MoGen consists of three stages: We first employ Monte Carlo tree search to enhance the LLM's reasoning ability in generating reasonable keyframes of the motion based on text prompts, specifying only the root and several key joints' positions to ease the reasoning process. Then, we apply a human pose model as a prior to optimize the full-body poses based on the planned keyframes and use the resulting incomplete motion to supervise fine-tuning a pre-trained motion generator via a dynamic temporal matching objective, enabling spatiotemporal completion. Finally, we use post-training with physics-aware reward to refine motion quality to eliminate physical implausibility in LLM-planned motions. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our framework can generate semantically consistent and physically plausible motions and achieve state-of-the-art performance in open-vocabulary motion generation.

LAMP: Language-Assisted Motion Planning for Controllable Video Generation

Video generation has achieved remarkable progress in visual fidelity and controllability, enabling conditioning on text, layout, or motion. Among these, motion control - specifying object dynamics and camera trajectories - is essential for composing complex, cinematic scenes, yet existing interfaces remain limited. We introduce LAMP that leverages large language models (LLMs) as motion planners to translate natural language descriptions into explicit 3D trajectories for dynamic objects and (relatively defined) cameras. LAMP defines a motion domain-specific language (DSL), inspired by cinematography conventions. By harnessing program synthesis capabilities of LLMs, LAMP generates structured motion programs from natural language, which are deterministically mapped to 3D trajectories. We construct a large-scale procedural dataset pairing natural text descriptions with corresponding motion programs and 3D trajectories. Experiments demonstrate LAMP's improved performance in motion controllability and alignment with user intent compared to state-of-the-art alternatives establishing the first framework for generating both object and camera motions directly from natural language specifications.
