Abstract

Real-time video restoration (VR) for live streams requires high-resolution outputs under strict per-frame latency constraints. Existing one-step diffusion-based VR models remain difficult to deploy on consumer-grade GPUs due to two main bottlenecks: quadratic spatial attention at high resolutions and the latency-memory overhead of large video autoencoders. We present SwiftVR, a streaming one-step generative VR framework that reduces both bottlenecks under a causal chunk-wise protocol. For attention, mask-free shifted-window self-attention gathers each spatial window into a dense tensor via deterministic indexing, keeping all attention calls on the dense scaled dot-product attention path without masks, cyclic shifts, padding, or hardware-specific sparse kernels. Because SwiftVR uses only standard dense SDPA calls, the trained model transfers to consumer GPUs without retraining or custom kernels. For autoencoding, a lightweight Restoration-aware Autoencoder enables fast chunk-wise decoding while preserving reconstruction quality. On a single H100, SwiftVR sustains 31FPS at 2560x1440 and 14FPS at 3840x2160, whereas all compared diffusion-based VR baselines exceed the memory limit at 4K. On a consumer RTX5090, SwiftVR reaches 26FPS at 1920x1080. To our knowledge, SwiftVR is the first generative VR model to achieve real-time 1080p streaming on a consumer-grade GPU, while attaining strong no-reference perceptual quality with lower inference cost. FlashDecoder: Real-Time Latent-to-Pixel Streaming Decoder with Transformers

Real-time video generation demands fast decoding as much as fast denoising, yet current latent video diffusion models rely on 3D convolutional decoders that are slow and memory-intensive at high resolutions or for long video. We introduce FlashDecoder, a fast, memory-efficient pure-Transformer video decoder that decodes latents to pixels frame by frame. At each step, the current frame attends only to a fixed-size window of past frames through a rolling KV cache. The fixed temporal window keeps decoding fast and memory bounded regardless of video length, enabling constant-latency streaming. Because frames are processed sequentially, temporal causality is enforced without explicit attention masks, enabling training at resolutions up to 1080p and matching the reconstruction quality of convolutional decoders. On the Wan2.1 and Wan2.2 latent spaces, FlashDecoder matches each convolutional decoder in reconstruction quality (e.g., 41.55dB vs. 41.49dB PSNR at 1080p) while decoding 3.6x-4.7x faster with up to 11x less memory on a single H100 GPU. With architecture-aware inference optimizations, the speedup widens to 12x.

Stream-DiffVSR: Low-Latency Streamable Video Super-Resolution via Auto-Regressive Diffusion

Diffusion-based video super-resolution (VSR) methods deliver strong perceptual quality but are often unsuitable for latency-sensitive scenarios due to reliance on future frames and expensive multi-step denoising. We propose Stream-DiffVSR, a causally conditioned diffusion framework for efficient online VSR. Operating strictly on past frames, Stream-DiffVSR integrates a four-step distilled denoiser for fast inference, an Auto-regressive Temporal Guidance (ARTG) module that injects motion-aligned cues during latent denoising, and a lightweight temporal-aware decoder with a Temporal Processor Module (TPM) to enhance detail and temporal coherence. Unlike chunk-wise streaming inference, our strictly frame-by-frame causal design avoids sequence-level waiting, substantially reducing time-to-first-frame and end-to-end latency. Stream-DiffVSR processes 720p frames in 0.328 seconds on an RTX 4090 and consistently outperforms prior diffusion-based baselines. Compared with the online state-of-the-art TMP, it improves perceptual quality (LPIPS +0.095). Compared with prior diffusion-based VSR methods such as MGLD-VSR, it reduces per-frame runtime by over 130x. Moreover, Stream-DiffVSR substantially lowers time-to-first-frame for diffusion-based VSR, reducing initial delay from over 4600 seconds to 0.328 seconds, making diffusion-based VSR markedly more practical for low-latency online and streaming deployment. Ultra Flash: Scaling Real-Time Streaming Video Generation to High Resolutions

While recent autoregressive video diffusion models achieve remarkable streaming quality, they remain confined to low resolutions (e.g., 480P), leaving efficient, scalable, real-time high-resolution video generation a fundamental open challenge. To bridge this gap, we present Ultra Flash, a cascaded streaming framework capable of real-time high-resolution video generation. Ultra Flash achieves ~30 FPS at 1K resolution and ~18 FPS at 2K resolution on a single GPU through three key contributions: (1) an architecture-preserving T2V-to-TV2V super-resolution training paradigm coupled with an AIGC-oriented data degradation pipeline that effectively preserves the generative capability of the base model, enabling enhanced high-resolution detail when cascaded after mainstream low-resolution generative models; (2) a causal streaming latent upsampler paired with a high-resolution decoder, which enhances spatiotemporal coherence while enabling efficient latent spatial scaling and precise high-resolution decoding with negligible computational overhead; and (3) a cascade high-resolution streaming video generation optimization scheme that first performs hybrid-reward-enhanced sparse causalization and single-step distillation of the super-resolution model, then introduces cascaded streaming self-forcing preference optimization with dynamic cache management, jointly enhancing overall coherence, improving quality, and enabling real-time high-resolution streaming video generation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Ultra Flash reliably produces ultra-high-resolution streaming video while maintaining state-of-the-art visual quality and superior efficiency.
