Abstract

Forecasting the evolution of dynamic environments is crucial for autonomous agents. While generative world models have recently achieved high photorealism in 2D video synthesis by mixing ego-motion and environmental dynamics within the image plane, they exhibit physical inconsistencies, such as morphing or vanishing objects, especially over long time horizons. In this paper, we propose FR3D, a world model that predicts a persistent 3D latent representation for future dynamic 3D reconstruction. Unlike prior works that treat the world as a sequence of image-based features, FR3D explicitly decouples the 3D evolution of the scene from the agent's trajectory, treating the inferred ego-motion as a latent proxy for action. This disentanglement resolves the ambiguities between self-motion and world-motion, ensuring geometric consistency into the future. Furthermore, we introduce a teacher-student distillation strategy that leverages the spatial "common sense" of off-the-shelf foundation models, leading to robust zero-shot generalization. Extensive experiments demonstrate FR3D's strong performance for future dynamic 3D reconstruction from monocular observations across multiple datasets, even 2 seconds into the future. DF^3: World Modeling via Decoder-Free Feature Forecasting in Autonomous Navigation

Forecasting future states from video sequences is a critical challenge for autonomous robotic systems and a fundamental objective of world modeling. Prior generative methods operating at the pixel level inevitably overemphasize task-irrelevant details, leading to prohibitive computational overhead. While latent-based approaches attempt to mitigate this by predicting features directly, the persistent reliance on heavy decoders for state-to-task mapping remains a computational bottleneck. In this work, we propose Decoder-Free Feature Forecasting (DF3^3), a novel framework that models world evolution entirely within the latent space and directly derives task outputs, completely eliminating the need for a decoder. Specifically, DF3^3 injects learnable spatial queries into the terminal blocks of a frozen vision foundation model to extract future state representations directly. By employing a lightweight, unified Motion-Aware Context Fusion (MACF) mechanism that seamlessly integrates coarse flow warping with fine-grained latent cross-correlation, these queries interact with historical token representations to explicitly align and forecast the feature of the next frame. Subsequently, a specialized set of task queries probes these forecasted features for the downstream task. Extensive experiments on public benchmarks and zero-shot deployment in a robotic simulator demonstrate that DF3^3 achieves performance comparable to state-of-the-art methods while offering superior efficiency and flexibility for integrated perception and control.

Puffin-World: Scaling a Unified Multimodal Model with Native 3D World States

We propose Puffin-World, a unified multimodal architecture that integrates physical understanding, spatial simulation, and 3D world generation and reconstruction without relying on external offline modules. To reliably construct and interact with 3D worlds, our framework jointly models three native world states: physics (gravity field and latitude), geometry (depth), and appearance (image), together with a unified Omni-Camera representation that supports diverse tasks and flexible motions. Beyond modeling these states, we introduce a strategy for propagating physical dynamics across future frames. By grounding absolute camera properties in the real world, Puffin-World enables physically consistent and visually stable world generation. We further couple appearance and geometry within a single generative process, jointly synthesizing each future view and reconstructing its underlying geometry. This unified paradigm enables interleaved closed-loop applications requiring synergy across multiple tasks, including mimic and self-calibrated world exploration. To scale Puffin-World to complex scenarios, we construct Puffin-16M, comprising 15 million vision-language-camera triplets and 1 million trajectories featuring various and challenging motions. To foster further research in this area, we released the code, models, and datasets.

World from Motion: Generative Dynamic Gaussian Reconstruction from Monocular Video

We present World from Motion, a method for generating freely renderable dynamic 3D Gaussian representations from monocular videos. Our approach conditions a video model on dense, pixel-aligned renderings that encode appearance, geometry, and 3D scene motion along both input and target camera trajectories to correct rendering artifacts and fill in missing regions from an initial reconstruction. To train this model, we construct a dataset of aligned multiview video pairs and dynamic 3DGS representations, with simulated artifacts characteristic of monocular reconstruction. At test time, we distill the model's generations, including newly observed regions and motions, back into a single consistent, high-quality dynamic 3DGS, improving both novel-view synthesis and the underlying 3D motion. Our method sets a new state of the art in 4D reconstruction and seamlessly generalizes to in-the-wild videos with large viewpoint changes and dynamic motions.
