Abstract

Despite rapid progress in interactive world models (IWMs), existing benchmarks evaluate action following only at trajectory level and ignore memory and interaction physics. We introduce WorldRoamBench, an open-world benchmark for long-horizon stability across four dimensions, each with tailored innovations: (i) Action: per-frame action metric bypassing cross-model semantic scale disparity and exposing failures hidden by trajectory; (ii) Vision: segment-based drift metric capturing non-monotonic mid-sequence collapse missed by start-vs-end comparisons; (iii) Physics: controllability-gated evaluation over mechanics, optics, and 3D consistency, scoring plausibility under faithful action execution; (iv) Memory: action-decoupled protocol evaluating scene memory via transition-localized 3D point-cloud reconstruction and subject memory via tracking-plus-VLM reasoning. The benchmark comprises 600+ test cases across Nature, Urban, and Indoor scenes in first/third-person views with WASD 10-60s continuous interaction. Evaluating 10+ open/closed-source models reveals none reliably satisfies all dimensions; even the best achieves only moderate scores. Advances on WorldRoamBench are steps toward IWMs that are stable, physically grounded, memory-faithful, and deployable in real-world applications.

WBench: A Comprehensive Multi-turn Benchmark for Interactive Video World Model Evaluation

Interactive world models are advancing rapidly, yet existing benchmarks cover only part of the required competencies, leaving no unified standard for systematic evaluation. To fill this gap, we introduce WBench, a comprehensive multi-turn benchmark for interactive world model evaluation along five dimensions, namely video quality, setting adherence, interaction adherence, consistency, and physics compliance. WBench contains 289 test cases and 1,058 interaction turns, where each case specifies a world setting and a multi-turn interaction sequence, covering diverse scenes, styles, subjects, and both first- and third-person perspectives, together with four interaction types, including navigation, subject action, event editing, and perspective switching. For navigation, WBench unifies text, 6-DoF pose, and discrete-action control, enabling evaluation of models with different native input interfaces. Evaluation uses 22 automatic sub-metrics that combine specialist vision models with large multimodal models, and all metrics are validated against human judgments. Across 20 state-of-the-art models, we find that no single model performs strongly across all dimensions. We provide detailed diagnostic insights into the characteristic strengths, weaknesses, and open challenges of each model. Code and data are available at https://github.com/meituan-longcat/WBench.

PlayWorld: Benchmarking World Models with Agent Players over Long-Horizon Objectives

Video world models simulate future states conditioned on current observations and user actions. Recent systems have demonstrated impressive video consistency and action controllability over long sequences. However, fairly comparing these interactive models remains challenging. In practice, a human player typically evaluates a world model by pursuing long-horizon objectives through interaction. For example, a user may turn around 360 degrees to see whether the environment remains consistent, or walk into the water and inspect whether realistic water ripples are generated. The action sequence required to achieve the same objective may vary substantially between models, making fixed action-conditioned evaluation unsuitable for cross-model comparison. To address this, we employ multi-modal Agent Players to interact with world models toward specified long-horizon objectives. Building on this paradigm, we introduce PlayWorld, a benchmark providing 171 scenarios, each with a specified objective. To evaluate performance thoroughly, we assess models along four core dimensions: geometry consistency, interaction fidelity, out-of-sight evolution, and insight evolution. In addition, we incorporate basic ability metrics for video quality and controllability. Experiments across nine state-of-the-art world models reveal that current models remain unreliable on long-horizon interactive objectives, particularly in maintaining spatial consistency and persistent state evolution. iWorld-Bench: A Benchmark for Interactive World Models with a Unified Action Generation Framework

Achieving Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) requires agents that learn and interact adaptively, with interactive world models providing scalable environments for perception, reasoning, and action. Yet current research still lacks large-scale datasets and unified benchmarks to evaluate their physical interaction capabilities. To address this, we propose iWorld-Bench, a comprehensive benchmark for training and testing world models on interaction-related abilities such as distance perception and memory. We construct a diverse dataset with 330k video clips and select 2.1k high-quality samples covering varied perspectives, weather, and scenes. As existing world models differ in interaction modalities, we introduce an Action Generation Framework to unify evaluation and design six task types, generating 4.9k test samples. These tasks jointly assess model performance across visual generation, trajectory following, and memory. Evaluating 14 representative world models, we identify key limitations and provide insights for future research. The iWorld-Bench model leaderboard is publicly available at iWorld-Bench.com.
