IRWOZ 2.0: A Large Language Model-driven Dialogue Dataset for Industrial Robot Conversations

Abstract

IRWOZ has improved industrial human-robot interaction (HRI) dialogue systems through domain-specific annotations. However, its initial version contains substantial noise in dialogue states and utterances, limiting state-tracking accuracy. We introduce IRWOZ 2.0, which addresses these limitations through large language model (LLM) enhanced generation (Mistral/Claude-3.5) and quality refinements. Our improved dataset expands to 390 dialogues across 4 industrial domains (Assembly, Delivery, Position, Relocation), featuring manual corrections and automated typo removal. Benchmark experiments on dialogue state tracking demonstrate significant improvements, with GPT-2's BLEU-4 score increasing from 0.1651 to 0.5604 compared to original IRWOZ. FactoryBench: Evaluating Industrial Machine Understanding

We introduce FactoryBench, a benchmark for evaluating time-series models and LLMs on machine understanding over industrial robotic telemetry. Q&A pairs are organized along four causal levels (state, intervention, counterfactual, decision) instantiating Pearl's ladder of causation, and span five answer formats: four structured formats are scored deterministically and free-form answers are scored by an LLM-as-judge voting protocol. We propose a scalable Q&A generation framework built around structured question templates, present FactoryWave (a dense, multitask, multivariate sensor dataset collected from a UR3 cobot and a KUKA KR10 industrial arm), and construct FactoryBench as a large-scale benchmark of over 70k Q&A items grounded in roughly 15k normalized episodes from FactoryWave, AURSAD, and voraus-AD. Zero-shot evaluation of six frontier LLMs shows that no model exceeds 50% on structured levels or 18% on decision-making, revealing a wide gap between current models and operational machine understanding.

DuIVRS-2: An LLM-based Interactive Voice Response System for Large-scale POI Attribute Acquisition

Accurate Point of Interest (POI) attribute acquisition is essential for location-based services, yet traditional modular Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems suffer from error accumulation and high maintenance overhead. We present DuIVRS-2, a large language model (LLM)-based end-to-end framework designed for large-scale POI attribute acquisition at Baidu Maps. To address the long-tail distribution of real-world interactions, our methodology first employs a finite state machine (FSM)-guided data augmentation strategy to synthesize a balanced and diverse training dataset. We then streamline dialogue management via a selective generation scheme combined with a Chain-of-Thought (CoT) mechanism, which ensures output stability and effectively eliminates hallucinations in industrial settings. To facilitate continuous policy refinement with minimal manual effort, we design a cooperative iterative learning framework that leverages a dual-evaluator voting system. Deployed in production for two months, DuIVRS-2 processed 0.4 million calls daily and achieved a 83.9% Task Success Rate (TSR), outperforming its predecessor by 4 percentage points while maintaining a low reaction time of 130ms. This work provides a production-proven reference for developing robust, cost-effective LLM agents for large-scale industrial dialogue applications.

Advancing DialNav through Automatic Embodied Dialog Augmentation

For embodied agents capable of physical interaction, the capability to create and understand dialog is crucial to ensure both safety and effectiveness. While DialNav~\cite{han2025dialnav} provides a framework for holistic evaluation of the dialog--execution loop in photorealistic indoor navigation, its performance remains limited by a critical scarcity of training data (2K episodes). To address this, we propose an automatic generation pipeline, and construct the \textbf{RAINbow} dataset, a large-scale training dataset with 238K episodes for DialNav. Our pipeline converts existing VLN datasets into multi-turn dialog and creates cost-efficient and high-quality dataset. Then, we introduce two additional complementary advances to unlock the data's full potential: (1) Dual-Strategy Training, a navigation training scheme to align the navigation training with the dynamic dialog-navigation loop, and (2) a localization model that leverages VLN knowledge. By combining these complementary solutions, our model substantially outperforms the baseline in success rate on both \textbf{Val Seen} (58.24, \textbf{+89%}) and \textbf{Val Unseen} (29.05, \textbf{+100%}) splits, establishing a new state of the art.
