Abstract

Single-image 3D generation has achieved high fidelity on curated benchmarks, yet degrades sharply on real-world images with uneven illumination, blur, and occlusions. Purifying such inputs requires deciding when to intervene and preserving the visual cues needed for 3D generation, while leaving clean inputs unchanged. We introduce Gate3DGen, a selective pre-processing model that gates image inputs to existing 3D generators without retraining them. A degradation-aware router bypasses inputs classified as clean and extracts features to guide purification of the remaining inputs. Conditioned on these features, a 3D-oriented one-step purifier purifies degraded inputs with spatial losses that encourage preservation of object identity, contours, and textural cues. To provide paired supervision, we construct a synthetic data engine that renders clean views of 3D assets and synthesises composite degradations. On the synthetic benchmark, the purifier improves image fidelity and downstream 3D geometry in only 2.3s on average, reducing TRELLIS.2 mesh distance by 61.5% relative to degraded inputs. VLM evaluation and human preferences on real photographs further support identity preservation and degradation correction. More demos and code are available at https://supra-3d.github.io/gate3dgen.

Channel Match: Calibrating Shape Latents for Few-Step 3D Generation

Recent native 3D generators achieve high-quality asset creation by modeling structured 3D latents with flow-based transformers, but their high-resolution generation remains computationally expensive due to costly iterative sampling. In this work, we introduce a few-step distillation framework for native 3D generation, enabled by continuous self-consistency training with a custom JVP FlashAttention kernel and an analytic velocity regression objective for sparse structured 3D latents. To stabilize joint optimization, we further introduce an adaptive loss weighting strategy that automatically balances them without manual tuning. Beyond acceleration, we reveal a previously overlooked failure mode of few-step native 3D generation: sampling-induced latent distribution drift preserves geometric correctness but disrupts downstream PBR texture synthesis, causing texture artifacts on geometrically valid assets. To address this issue, we propose Channel Match, a training-free adaptive per-channel latent calibration method that restores the latent distribution without modifying either generator. We validate our approach on TRELLIS.2 at the 102431024^3 resolution setting. Our two-step model achieves 4.5×4.5\times faster geometry sampling while maintaining geometry quality comparable to the many-step teacher, and Channel Match further improves rendering quality by recovering the latent interface between geometry and appearance generation.

MeshReGen: A Unified 3D Geometry Regeneration Framework

We consider the problem of regenerating 3D objects from 2D images and initial 3D shapes. Most 3D generators operate in a one-shot fashion, converting text or images to a 3D object with limited controllability. We introduce instead MeshReGen, a 3D regenerator that is conditioned on an initial 3D shape. This conceptually simple formulation allows us to support numerous useful tasks, including 3D enhancement, reconstruction, and editing. MeshReGen uses a new conditioning mechanism based on VecSet, which allows the regenerator to update or improve the input geometry with consistent fine-grained details. MeshReGen learns a widely applicable regeneration prior from off-the-shelf 3D datasets via self-supervised pretext tasks and augmentations, without additional annotations. We evaluate both the geometric consistency and fine-grained quality of MeshReGen, achieving state-of-the-art performance in controllable 3D generation across several tasks.

NOFACE3D: NOise-scheduled Focused Anchoring and Controlled Enhancement for 3D Generation

Recent image-to-3D models generate complete, high-quality assets from a single image, with global shape and appearance that are already convincing; what remains is the fine scale, where small, thin, elongated, or detail-rich regions are reconstructed softly and under-resolved. This gap can arise in generators with fixed-resolution spatial grids: the same spatial sampling density is used for a large, smooth, low-curvature surface and for a thin, high-curvature structure that carries most of the perceived detail. To this end, we introduce NOFACE3D, a training-free framework that refines these detail-critical regions while preserving the rest of the asset. Given a generated mesh, its input image, and a refinement box, NOFACE3D extracts the selected submesh, scales it up to fill the generator's input volume, and re-encodes it into the full-resolution latent grid. Conditioned on the image crop, it refines the region through flow-based sampling with a spatially varying noise schedule that anchors boundary latents. The refined region is then integrated back into the original asset, preserving the surrounding geometry and appearance. We implement NOFACE3D on TRELLIS.2 and its sparse voxel representation; all of it operates purely at inference time on the frozen pretrained generator. We evaluate NOFACE3D on PAniC-3D, TexVerse and BigDetail, a new benchmark of 339 assets with annotated detail-critical regions. On all three, it generates sharper geometry and finer texture detail than the baselines. Project page: https://idkcouscous.github.io/NoFACE3D/
