Character Designer

Character design is increasingly leveraging artificial intelligence, particularly generative adversarial networks (GANs) and large language models (LLMs), to assist in the creation of visually compelling and consistent characters for various media. Current research focuses on improving the fidelity and controllability of AI-generated character features, including facial makeup and overall appearance, often through techniques like prompt-guided segmentation and layered memory systems. This work aims to augment, not replace, human designers, providing them with novel creative starting points and tools to enhance their workflow and explore a wider range of design possibilities across applications like animation, gaming, and storytelling.
