Color Prediction
Color prediction research focuses on accurately estimating color values in images and 3D scenes, often within the context of image synthesis, 3D reconstruction, or graphic design. Current efforts leverage neural networks, particularly those based on neural radiance fields (NeRFs) and multiplane image (MPI) representations, to improve color accuracy and handle complex scenes including reflections. These advancements are impacting fields like robotics (through active mapping), computer vision (via improved 3D reconstruction and physically accurate light estimation), and graphic design (with intuitive color adjustment tools). The development of large-scale, photometrically calibrated datasets is also crucial for training and evaluating these models.
