Research is exploring the shared underlying mechanisms across different brain disorders using advanced machine learning techniques. Current studies leverage deep learning models, often employing multi-modal MRI data and federated learning approaches to analyze diverse datasets while preserving patient privacy. This work aims to improve diagnostic accuracy and potentially reveal common pathological features across seemingly disparate brain conditions, ultimately advancing our understanding of brain disorders and informing more effective treatment strategies. The ability to train single models capable of identifying multiple disorders from varied imaging data represents a significant step towards more efficient and robust clinical applications.
